The first thing I want to say is that they have officially surpassed anything we ever did in band. I got to see this year's performance twice in person (the LC-M game and the PN-G Marching Invitational) and I remember thinking there was no way they'd get less than straight ones this year. That's a double-edged sword. Opposing head coaches can request a penalty for the team if they feel the band is disrupting their offense per UIL rules. Matt Burnett once invoked this rule and I have no doubt Larry Neumann would jump at that opportunity if the game ended up being competitive. Band... -
