Philip Klein's Take On PN-G Job Situation

But why not? Misappropriated tax dollars are all the rage! ;D

Do we need a Booster Club ?

I dont think he'd want to. A coach comes in and does away with a club in his first few weeks. That'd look bad. And besides, I dont see why he wouldnt want one. Its an extra source of funding. And yes, the middle school equipment is embarassing. Hopefully, a new school means new equipment, too...

Do we need a Booster Club ?

Or we start it now so he has to support it once he gets here. Im fairly sure he couldnt just come in and tell us he didnt like it right after he came into office if it was previously established. Im not completely sure how to go about starting it, but, Mrs. Pat Briggs, the director of...

Philip Klein's Take On PN-G Job Situation

Well, this is becoming a pretty heated battle. What football team could have fans so obsessed with football and so proud of their team that they would go so far as to write the Attorney General for a list of head football coach applicants? Oh, wait....

kfdmcoop, do you think the letter from the Enterprise will speed up the AG's ruling?

Do we need a Booster Club ?

I dont see any reason not to have a booster club. It would probably present more oppurtunities and definitely present another source of funding for our student body. Isnt that what a school district is about?

Philip Klein's Take On PN-G Job Situation

Hah, he mispelled "oops". But in reality, its probably one of the most brilliant political strategies ever. The morality is arguable, and Im sure both sides have valid reasons, but the members of the school board most certainly accomplished their objective, and that's what a strategy is...

PN-GISD vows to keep coach applicants secret

You wont have that to complain about for too much longer. Theyre putting up some big indian seal sorta thing on the back of the pressbox. I guess they want downtown Beaumont to know which stadium is the Reservation.

Mr. Wells speaks on the tempo of Cherokee.......

It could probably be sped up in the stands. We'll just have to wait until the spring pep rally to see if it is.

This is how I remember Cherokee sounding......

Ok, Im sorry, but I really dont think they're intentionally slowing down Cherokee. This is only the 2nd year for the TJ Grad and the 2nd year as head director for the Vidor grad. We've played it slow for more than two years. In response to the competition comment, we deserved a 1st division...

This is how I remember Cherokee sounding......

The band directors came from TJ and Hamshire-Fannett. The head band director student-taught at Nederland. His father was a band director as well. That's why they're so focused on the quality of the note. It's what they were taught. And lets face it, in most cases, that's not a bad thing. But...

I really think it would carry more weight if it came from a fan or several fans.

This is how I remember Cherokee sounding......

Thanks. We really put the extra effort into it this year. Much more than last year. It wasnt just the first few games that we didnt march the I off the field. We didnt do it at all last year. Again, I really think Cherokee could be played louder and faster. It will likely be played louder next...

This is how I remember Cherokee sounding......

Everyone is correct. Cherokee is being played slower than it used to be. I agree that it needs to be played louder and faster, but if you listen to the 1984 version and the current version, you'll notice that the 1984 Cherokee has a much brassier sound. Part of the reason it's not as loud is...
