    Final: Texas High 44, Port Neches-Groves 21

I hated to see the Indians lose even if to my alma mater. Truth be told I’d rather PNG win a state championship than THS if I had a wish. but i do think Texas High is a threat to win it all (they CAN beat Crosby) and there will be revenge motivation. But my pick is Liberty Hill

It all depends on their attitude. Notice how focused they were in the first quarter Once they knew they had it they quit focusing. I don’t like seeing that in a team even if they win it all doing that.

PA News Article: Port Neches-Groves embrace underdog role as lowest remaining seed

I think it’s referring to the seed because we were third GP was second in district

    Final: PN-G 49, Montgomery 42

I may be remembering incorrectly. But early childhood they always seemed to wear uniform colors either all purple or all white. Or at least white pants all the time

Regional Playoff: PNG vs Texas High

Ooops forgot Featherson the 121st rated safety in the nation lol. I’ve counted 5 THREE star players (Brown got one 4 star rating) and that doesn’t count McHenry or Mennie who I can’t find a rating for

Regional Playoff: PNG vs Texas High

Don’t get me wrong Football has never left Texarkana. All four high schools have state championships in the 2000s. Pleasant Grove two (three if not for Whittington from Cuero) Two for Liberty Eylau (Red Sox 3rd baseman Will Middlebrook at QB and 49er RB LaMichael James) (2006 and ¿2002?) (might...

And just think last year he had the #3 weak side DE in the nation on the other side of him. Which he reaped the benefits of having Clayton Smith take all the attention away as a JR which might have been discouraging early to find himself the center of attention didn’t handle it well early IMO

Regional Playoff: PNG vs Texas High

I’m basing this off of games early in the season he would do the “hands on hips” with palms out which means one of two things to me it’s a signal of “it’s casual” (I took it as “I’m too good to put out effort if I’m not going to get the sack”) and he would run up meet the double team and become...

I would make Brown believe early you’re going to double team him every play

Regional Playoff: PNG vs Texas High

Speed in the secondary if Brown shows up he cuts your pass release time in half. He seems to pinch in might need at least a TE chip etc was getting double teamed early in the season and tended to quit if that happened a lot. #7 LB is the most impressive looking defensive player every player on...

Yes - they’ve played a playoff game in Shreveport before at Independence Stadium.

Regional Playoff: PNG vs Texas High

If they had been division 1 their nearest opponents would have been Longview 90 miles and Tyler 100 miles and then DFW 180 miles

Same district as Nacogdoches , Whitehouse , Jacksonville they’re spread out in all directions

Regional Playoff: PNG vs Texas High

TE Minnie might be hurt. #7 (White?) LB is their best defensive player IMO

Regional Playoff: PNG vs Texas High

I’ll say I watched the game with Nac twice. It was one of their worst games seems like they had district wrapped up. I know Whitehouse was their last game I may be wrong about that. They let Nac hang around early.

Regional Playoff: PNG vs Texas High

Yes they’ve played at Independence Stadium in Shreveport before in playoffs Ryan Mallett’s sr year. Very good smart returning SR QB. Big TE Very good defense when UT commit DE (tall lanky but a sleek lanky) Brown wants to put in effort who they will put in at WR on some downs - was featured...

    Final: PN-G 49, Montgomery 42

Welp. First time my beloved Indians and my alma mater (third generation) Texas High have ever played and unless it’s Saturday at 2 pm I can’t make it. But so glad it’s happening.

    Final: PN-G 49, Montgomery 42

To me he looks like he’s trying to throw too hard (which I know NEEDS to happen) but sometimes looks like it takes too much effort and accuracy suffers. More like Nolan Ryan in shoulder pads.
