    2024 Baseball and Softball

This team’s got a lot of fight. PN-G teams with a lot of fight typically go far.

    2024 Baseball and Softball

Am I recalling correctly that the baseball team was district runner-up the year we won state in 2017?

I thought it was awesome when they brought back the ribbons. I hadn’t seen those since elementary school.

    New Baseball Bleachers Delayed

I don’t know if they replaced the bleachers, but they built a very nice covering over them. I suspect my dad will be spending some Spring evenings watching Indian baseball in retirement for that simple reason.

    2024 Baseball and Softball

Let's take inventory. So far this school year, PN-G has put forth: the 5ADII football state champs; a 5A girls' soccer district champ and regional semifinalist team with multiple ranked wins under its belt; a 5A boys' soccer area champ team; a 5A baseball team currently tied for the district...

SPRING GAME: 6 PM Monday, May 13, at Indian Stadium

Ordinarily I’d say not to worry because there’s no chance a spring game will sell out, but after a state championship win? I honestly don’t know. Maybe season ticket holders need early access.

    2024 Lady Indians

We talk about PN-G history repeating itself a lot, right? Traditionally, during school years when the football team has made it to the state championship, other extracurricular activities have competed for state titles, too. I have a feeling the girls’ soccer team will carry on that tradition...

    2024 Lady Indians

I told them last month that I’d show up in Georgetown if they make it to the state championship. Later today, I’m going to rearrange a business trip to make sure I’m back in Austin in time.

    PN-G Indians - 2023 5A-DII State Champions!

Both. About seven years ago, the state demographer’s staff told me Beaumont would be a suburb of Houston by 2050. I laughed at them. Now I drive through Mont Belvieu and realize they were right.

    PN-G Indians - 2023 5A-DII State Champions!

Just wait. Give it about ten more years, and some of that suburban Houston money is gonna start hitting Jefferson County.

Jeff Joseph- THSCA 5A Coach of the Year

Also just gonna state the obvious. It’s not as hard to be successful coaching at the 5ADII level as it is in 6A. If you want to build a dynasty, the lift is a little easier in PN-G’s classification. Who knows how much that changes when 7A happens.

Isaiah Nguyen, Reid Richard - NOMINEES FOR THE WRS AWARD

Good offensive line play benefits the passing game every bit as much as the running game.

UIL issues penalties for state champion Texas high school football program for recruiting

Hoover is a powerhouse. Could easily compete with a North Shore, DeSoto or Westlake. A lot of the talent you see take the field for schools like Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Florida and Florida State comes out of that school. I had the opportunity to watch them play in 2014...

Isaiah Nguyen, Reid Richard - NOMINEES FOR THE WRS AWARD

Nothing against the kid from Newton. I'm sure he's an outstanding player and deserving of many accolades. But how do you pass up on a kid Nguyen's size who rushed for as many yards and touchdowns as he did playing for a large school team that won a Texas state championship?
