Well the first days of summer are here and soon will be in two a day practice I can't wait. Not to start a war here on the stadium but iI talked to a reliable source the other day and said we will blay our first 4 games away then we will have our first home game. I ve been following Png football for about 5 years now . I love the fire up pep rally we need to do something special this year it is the closing of one chapter in png history and starting another. new chapter new traditions. SO does any one have any ideas Let put them on here and then actually act them out!!!!!!!

"We have picked up a new running back that transfered from another school and is suppose to be the new power guy. From what i hear, ( and i have VERY reliable sources), he is very strong and will do a good job replacing hemmings. Also, Tatum is bulking up and is playing very good. So far, our season is looking bright."

This statement is somewhat true, we did pick up a new PLAYER from BC and if anything he will play linebacker. Caleb Harmon is going to take Jake Hemmings spot in the FB position. From what i hear he is alot stronger than the new guy and with a 4.6 fourty and a 4.09 shuttle (Just recently ran at oklahoma camp and at the TCU combine), who can get mad. With J Wright at 5'9 and 195 pounds and C Harmon at 5'9 181 the PNG backfield will work like magic. In my opinion The 2008 football season is going to be the best the Indian fans have seen by far in some time.

Ok, question? How many of you (like me ) still get chills when you hear Cherokee being played, for the first time in the season?!!!!!! Sounds like it will be a great season!!! I can't wait to walk into the new stadium. I only wish we would get to play more home games, I think I saw 3 home games on the schedule.

Never got chills, I guess I just played it too many times. Was fun to play though, and we sometimes threw our own interpretation on it. Octave here, Octave there. :) I think the most excited I get is during MCM before the teams run out, hard to beat that kind of gamesmanship (who goes first etc.).

Ok, time to stir the pot.
What kinda offense will we run this year?? Will it be the typical Sweep right, Sweep left then a deep out pass or will we mix it up an not be so **** predictable.

I've heard that Tatum is looking great. Any news on the passing game and receivers? How does McElduff look? How about the o-line?

Great to hear about the running game!

I heard the O-Line is going to be good McElduff (forgive me if I mispelled) was listed at 6ft 3in is this true. Running game should be right up Burnetts alley. Shaping up to be a special season looks like. Defense is a question mark but with good leadership.

It matters because if we are one dimensional it'll be a long season. I don't care how good you are at the running game you have to be able to mix it up and we haven't been very good the past few yrs at that.

I agree. Hope we get away from "up the middle, up the middle, pass" football and mix it up. I still think we'd of beat Stephenville for the state championship in 1999 IF coach also called some running plays and not relied totally on passing.

I thought the same thing. In the first half it seemed obvious that they could run on S'ville, but for some reason that kept trying to force the passing game. I think I heard more than one person yelling in the stand saying "Coach you can run on these guys!".

Oh well, was still a great season!

Ah, what the life of a coach must be... Most of the time the team runs too much, but sometimes they don't run enough. ???

I saw a couple of names returning to D-line, but who is coming up? I know there was some really strong (and BIG) guys on the JV last year. Anyone word on them? :helmet: :helmet: :helmet: :helmet: :helmet: :helmet: :helmet:
