If Cherokee is played 4,373 times then im assuming the score will be:
PN-G 30,611
GP 0
Now I'm pretty sure you guys play don't just play cherokee when you score. Last PNG game I was at was several years ago, Nederland spanked the tribe, don't remember the score, but I know I heard cherokee a bunch, certinly more times than indian scores!
Go CATS, GO DOGS!
"Short" Cherokee (the last 10 or so measures) is played after every touchdown, first down when PN-G is on offense, fourth down when PN-G is on defense, and whenever we generally feel like it.
"Long" Cherokee (the whole song) is played when the band enters the stadium, after every PAT, at the end of every quarter, as the football team exits the field after the game, during the "Marching I" at halftime, and when the football team runs out onto the field at the beginning of the game and after halftime. Also, it is occasionally played when PN-G has a fourth down on offense or is making a goal-line stand on defense to encourage the team.
War Chant is played whenever you tick us off.
Geronimo's Fury is played whenever you
REALLY tick us off.
Housequake is played during the third quarter and there are several other percussion cadences that are played throughout the game.
