Very happy to see all of the PN-G Indians on the list. The PA News does the Super Team in an odd way. Years ago, the selections came from all over SETX, e.g., PN-G, TJ, Lincoln, Nederland, SFA, Vidor, BC, OF, LCM, Beaumont French, WO-S, and other schools. All of the school consolidations have changed things. I know that things change, society shifts, towns grow, towns shrink, etc. I wish we could turn back the clock to the days of old rivalries (PN-G v. TJ, PN-G v. Lincoln, PN-G v. Nederland, TJ v. Lincoln, Ned v. TJ, etc.).

In 2019...great to see so many PN-G Indians on the Super Team. Great year by the INDIANS!

Go Indians. Peace.

It’s likely that not a lot of people read the PA News outside of Mid and South County. So they cater to the remaining 3 high school fan bases in the area.

Like many newspapers the The News is a shell of its former self, as is the city of Port Arthur itself. But I’m grateful for the continuing effort to cover sports. Especially since the Beaumont Enterprise pretty much ignores PN-G.

Congrats to these players. If not for some significant injuries that eliminated or reduced playing time, I think there would have been even more Indians on that list. Garth, Burt, Osbourne, Girouard to name a few with great talent and motors that would have had much more impact and recognition with full playing time.
