ETBU is on the way up
Be a big fish in a small pond I say
Play sooner
If you’re NFL quality they WILL find you
And they play in a respected conference

Don’t know if it did any good
But I’ve written several emails to the ETBU athletic director about “meat on the bone” at PNG
Maybe (I doubt it)

I would encourage every player in this PNG team who had any interest in playing college football
Email ETBU
they don’t have the recruiting budget like D1 schools
The fact they did official offers somewhat surprises me
The D3 schools somewhat depend on the player pursuing them
I’d say it’s worth a try
The ego might be a little bruised because Alabama or UT isn’t knocking on the door
But might be worth it
Any kid on this team could play for ETBU maybe not first year but the potential is there. And that has a domino effect
They start looking at schools once there is familiarity
Also heavy heavy alumni base at PNG GT and big thicket areas

My cousin spent his freshman year at the Air Force academy
He decided to come back and go to an “easy” school
A&M lol

Choice of college is such a big decision
And it’s such a craps shoot sometimes

Sometimes you just gotta go with your gut

If you graduate either from Harvard or any of the 3 military academies you can write your own ticket
Of course the military academies sort of limit your options of careers to focus on but you’re in

Watched a replay. Chance Prosperie. Great route runner. Did not/could not get the ball to him on multiple plays when he was open against SOC's vaunted secondary. Deserving of offers.

Ten years ago or so, his parents, Bob and Jan, brought him back to Port Neches to talk about his career in the Navy at the Methodist church on Nall. I learned in that talk that there have been fewer captains of nuclear powered naval vessels than there have been people in space. Easily one of the most successful PN-G alums in school history. Nice guy, too.
Cecil William (Billy) Powell, amember of the 1953 State Championship team, attended the Naval Academy , went into the Air Force and became a Major General.

Thank you for sharing that. Knowledge of such achievements are never known or are lost with time when not communicated and shared. Very impressive accomplishments.

I’m planning on speaking with Jordan Armstrong the WR coach (ETBU) specifically about Prosperie and Guanere this week
Actually spoke to the Head Coach personally about several including Droddy and the two WRs yesterday - he’s reviewing the film
The thing they rely on is student GPA (weighted) because they have to find them academic scholarships instead of athletic.

Droddy got offers from ETBU and Texas Lutheran yesterday. ETBU is one of the places he wanted to play. He will be on campus next Friday. Might have 4-5 Indians end up on that team.
Great to hear! He’s a helluva football player.

I could not be more proud of our team and our community. The spirit here is unmatched! I am so lucky to be a part of it and to wear the purple and white! The journey of this football season, with these coaches and our players, will stay with me forever.  -- PN-G Head Coach Jeff Joseph
