Where are the new fields located? Also, we have alot of work being done on the new fields. It looks like we will be playing on them this year. If yall get a chance yall come out and watch. We still have a bunch of work to do, but it is headed in the right direction.
Hogaboom Rd. in Groves next to soccer fields.Where are the new fields located?
That slogan has been around since I know my son played 15 years ago. I liked it then and it is still true today.I like your slogan...Friday Nights begin Saturday Morning!!! Blow that sign up and put it all over Port Neches and Groves. A+ on the marketing.
All we had was front and backyards, or maybe a field somewhere for a neighborhood group to play a game.Man, I wish we'd had this when I was a kid. We played for the Port Neches "Saints" or the Groves "Browns". Looking back at those pictures, it's a wonder we're not all braindead because the gear sucked!!!
I had the helmet Abe Lincoln wore.
If you got a concussion, they'd tell you to walk it off or go get some water.... ha
When I was a kid, we didn't have any youth football. When I played at Groves Jr High we had the old leather helmets. My senior year (1953-4) A few of the guys got new helmets that had a plastic bar that was at nose/mouth level. No face masks!Man, I wish we'd had this when I was a kid. We played for the Port Neches "Saints" or the Groves "Browns". Looking back at those pictures, it's a wonder we're not all braindead because the gear sucked!!!
