Man, I wish we'd had this when I was a kid. We played for the Port Neches "Saints" or the Groves "Browns". Looking back at those pictures, it's a wonder we're not all braindead because the gear sucked!!!

I had the helmet Abe Lincoln wore.

That slogan has been around since I know my son played 15 years ago. I liked it then and it is still true today.

When I was a kid, we didn't have any youth football. When I played at Groves Jr High we had the old leather helmets. My senior year (1953-4) A few of the guys got new helmets that had a plastic bar that was at nose/mouth level. No face masks!

Finished up with registration and for the first time that I've seen everyone of our divisions are completely maxed out with 2 teams each and with full 28 kid rosters. PNG football is ALIVE AND WELL!!!

From the days that us ‘old timers’ watched great players like Gordon LeBoeuf, Jeff Bergeron, Dustin Long, Roschon Johnson, etc, to the current time with youngsters watching the ‘22 stars, the dream and excitement of PN-G football is renewed and continued. Almost 100 years of goodness and going strong.
