11/11/24 DCTF staff regional and state champs predictions for 5AD2.The PN-G fanbase (Indian Nation) enters this 2024 playoff season with pride, excitement, uncertainty and hope. Just like every other community in the state that have earned a shot at the prize.
Anything is possible. All we can do as always is show up and support in numbers and also privately. Show the state what PN-G is all about. And let the players and coaches know you appreciate them no matter what. Because we are blessed to experience each and every game played.
Go Indians!
And no one has Texas High picked to win state. They said because historically they do not perform well in the playoffs. But yet their power ranking is number 1 in 5A-D2. Execution is key in real life.11/11/24 DCTF staff regional and state champs predictions for 5AD2.
Some of these kids think they’re a character in Madden Football or something. All the ‘look what I did’ celebrations after a play, especially a tackle, sack or first down, don’t belong in high school football. An end zone display of excitement after a TD is cool, but none of the choreographed crap like they do in the NFL.Their number one objective is to CELEBRATE plays (seems like)
which if I was the coach
You celebrate on field you come off the field for several plays
Texas High was a very young team last year lack on the field Senior leadership. This year may be quite different with more maturity. Only time will tell this year. And no one has Texas High picked to win state. They said because historically they do not perform well in the playoffs. But yet their power ranking is number 1 in 5A-D2. Where there is a singular vocal mind set from thousands in Indian Nation we can effect the adrenaline and energy of the players on the field. As the Houston Rocket ex coach and player says Never underestimate the Heart of. Champion.Region I - Argyle
Region II - My heart says PN-G, my brain says SOC
Region III - Richmond Randle
Region IV - CC Miller
Semi-Final: SOC over Argyle
Semi-Final: Richmond Randle over CC Miller
State Champion: Richmond Randle over SOC
I'd love to be wrong and watch PN-G repeat!!! GO INDIANS!
Whats interesting is CalPreps gives us 58% to 42% chance of winning by 3 points. But has them beating Huntsville. Going to be 100% fun if we meet.Region I - Argyle

Interesting HS playoff fact. Laporte who PNG defeated never lost again game and won their 5AD1 district. Because their football stadium is still undergoing renovations, LaPorte has to travel to Austin Anderson (4th place finisher). La Porte been an orphan playing in surrounding HS stadiums this year.I definitely don’t underestimate Nederland
But I think I’m 90% sure we ll meet Texas High in the third round.
And it’ll be a tough game
I believe the four real contenders are
PNG
SOC
THS
RR
And I guess I’m supposed to say Argyle
But really I think it’s between those 4
Unfortunately 3 are in our region
I watched every THS game this year and they might be peaking now
(You never know they could go down to Ned)
5A DII BI-DISTRICT
PN-G Indians (9-1)
vs.
Hallsville Bobcats (4-6)

I could not be more proud of our team and our community. The spirit here is unmatched! I am so lucky to be a part of it and to wear the purple and white! The journey of this football season, with these coaches and our players, will stay with me forever. -- PN-G Head Coach Jeff Joseph
