I'm not sure what to think of Texas High after watching that game vs Fayettville. Texas High QB seems to throw the football as if it weighs 15 pounds. Very slow awkward motion. They definitely have some athletes on the field. I'm not sold on them.
You mean the guy with a QB rating of 150.7? Zero interceptions out of 180 attempts for the year? Don't know if it's true but that is what is being reported.

I definitely don’t underestimate Nederland
But I think I’m 90% sure we ll meet Texas High in the third round.
And it’ll be a tough game
I believe the four real contenders are

PNG
SOC
THS
RR

And I guess I’m supposed to say Argyle
But really I think it’s between those 4
Unfortunately 3 are in our region
I watched every THS game this year and they might be peaking now
(You never know they could go down to Ned)
Anna is my sleeper in Region 1 an explosive offense (51.2 points a game this season) with ten offensive returners in all the skill spots plus two D1 WRs “transfers” and five returning starters on defense.
Anna lost to Oakland Patriots from Murfreesboro Tennessee in first game of season 48-52. Oakland is currently 10-1 and ranked 6th in state of Tennessee. Anna lost in district to Lovejoy and HC Todd Dodge by a 62-66 score.
Anna Just needs a couple of turn over on downs by their defense and the offense is off to the races. Doesn’t hurt they are purple and white.

Anna also was last year’s 4AD1 state champions at (15-1).

I don’t REMEMBER an interception
But I also don’t remember the announcer
(One ex coach and member of 2002 THS state champion team (then UA Razorback) quoting that - they’re big on Potter 6’5 3 year starter (after the Sr QB went down his sophomore season (so he has multi years experience)
Seems like something they would have mentioned
Wrightner (I knew his dad) is their dual threat backup (they call the Swiss Army knife because he does a little of everything for the team) Ball lines up as the slot back because Johnson is that good as a Sr RB
(Been committed to Oregon since his sophomore season - varsity since freshman and played a lot then) most of the non linemen run near 4.5 40s - that’s always going to be the case at Texas High for some unknown reason). BTW no one calls them Texarkana that’s more referring to Arkansas High because they’re the only TXK team from Arkansas Arkansas press regularly calls Arkansas High “Texarkana” (besides a tiny school Genoa) lol it’s “Texas” then people say HIGH due to any confusion
(TEXAS) is the name of for high school like Lincoln etc.
(I don’t remember the words of the school song fyi. Lol)

Never has a 4th place team gotten so much attention from DCTF. My prediction is a big win by Texas High.
I agree even though I’d be sad to see THS out my consolation would be if our district swept Bi district which is possible
I just think THS has too much speed on defense especially the LB AND secondary. And has depth since they’re winning
(Backups regularly quit the team if they’re losing)
That said I predict a 3 TD win for THS
(I definitely could be wrong)

Nederland Cousins make PNG proud. Never underestimate the Power of Indian Nation on podcast influencers across the state of Texas. PNG put Nederland on the map of Texas. PNG one game at a time. I want to hear other teams yelling we want PNG. Careful what you ask for. Who Are We!!!! PNG.

Final Scores of Thursday bi district scores. Really no surprises. Region 1 District 1 runner up Canutillo (9-1) lost 38-14. Canutillo HC is a defensive guru but Offenses are consistently average each year with an early exit. Experts say you have to be able to play commentary football.

I think Huntsville will be the district favorite for the next three years. The Hornets are like PN-G in the sense that they rotate a large number of kids in-and-out of the game. Some kids may not be starters, but they get lots of playing time in pressure games. PN-G does the same thing. Look at the number of kids that get rotated in-and-out of the game, especially on defense. Huntsville will have the FR QB, two RBs, at least three OL, and several kids on defense. I like HC Rodney Southern. He's got a good staff, has a good system, and he has a calm demeanor.
I wouldn't be surprised at all if they beat SOC next weekend in Waco.

I hope they do, just because. Just to see them lose. It's uncanny how this game and ours is on different days, so that everyone can scout everyone, etc. Most of the attention is on Huntsville this week, rather than us.

Scouting is much easier these days. With HUDL, all teams have access to other team game video.
It's not the same as being there, of course.

Btw, I thought I saw comments on another site, that led me to believe that a team's HUDL videos can be deleted. Whoever it was, was mentioning it with regard to Texas High.

Point understood. Watching the live action certainly provides benefit. But it’s not like the analysis capabilities that HUDL video and analytics provides. It’s the modern game film and allows very detailed, focused attention for every position coach and player. A player can sit down and watch every play, slow it down, repeat it and discover opponent team and player tendencies, strengths and weaknesses. Optimal technique application and strategy flows from that.

HUDL has a one-way and two-way exchange option for teams to share video with other teams. If TH coaches chose not to participate, then yes live scouting is necessary. If that’s the case then TH is at just as much of a disadvantage since PNG video will not be shared.

A simple way for casual observation and analysis is watch TH game video on YouTube. If you really want to dive in, it’s easy to capture the video into a video editing software and more precisely control the playback ability for analysis.
