Anyone know the results of the first two scrimmages (LCM and Liberty)? Can’t find squat online. Eager to see what kind of start the team gets with the new coach. For those that may have not heard, baseball will be split into two divisions for the playoffs, which could make things more interesting than usual. As far as the district is concerned, it seems much weaker this year. However, perennial power Barbers Hill remains along with rival Nederland.

Lost 3rd game of season to Lufkin 11-2 according to maxpreps. That website is not that reliable, so who knows. No info available about the scores of the other three games we have played. Seems to be little to no interest in high school baseball online so far this year.

Sadly, we have a low percentage of the local population that visits this message board, and have seldom had a lot of feedback here on the sports that aren’t covered well like football. There is interest here but a good number of us are not there to attend the various sports games. Having said that, those here that DO share scores and information are greatly appreciated.
I have never found a reliable district or school source for scores either. That’s the logical source and would be easy to do.

In the past I was able to find baseball scores online fairly easily with a little effort, even regarding scrimmages. But no more.

Last year texashighschoolbaseball.com was about the only reliable source. This year that website has not yet posted a single score for anyone in our district. Hopefully that will change at some point during the season.

The baseball team has played 8 games up to this date, 5 of which appear to have been scrimmages. There is only one score I can find for the (apparent) scrimmages, and that was the loss to Lufkin. They have a 2-1 record in the other (apparently non scrimmage) games. Texashighschoolbaseball.com has in previous years reported scores for the scrimmage games just like any other scores. However, they apparently no longer report scores for those games. Since the scrimmages now appear to be over, hopefully fans will now be able to get scores for the remaining games on that website (although they sometimes do not appear on the website until a day or two after the game).

Team apparently did well in the bridge city tournament. Won three of their four games in the tournament but the score for the fourth (last) one against Carthage is MIA. It was supposed to have been broadcast on youtube but was not for unknown reasons.

5-1 record in first 7 non-scrimmage games with 1 score (vs Carthage) missing. I suspect that the Carthage game was cancelled but have been unable to determine that for certain. If it was cancelled and no game was substituted, it appears that they were undefeated in the bridge city tournament.

They were ranked in the top 30 in 4A in the preseason, but I cannot find any more recent polls. In any case, it does not appear that we played them during the BC tournament, and they were 1-0-1 in their only two games during that tournament for which I can find scores. We were scheduled to play a scrimmage game against BC on Feb 10th (prior to the tournament), but I can find no additional info about that game.

7-2 record in the 9 out of 10 non-scrimmage games for which scores are available (only one score is available for 5 scrimmage games- a loss to Lufkin). The non-scrimmage game for which no score is available may have been cancelled. Team appears to be getting off to a good start under the new coach.
