The 2025 Dayton team finished the year at 6-4. Dayton lost two district games by 1 pt to Huntsville (41-42) and by 6 pts to Montgomery(46-52). Dayton won a multiple OT district game by 2 pts against Nederland (61-59).
Against PNG the Dayton team was without injured junior QB #5 Jerry Prieto (1503 yds passing 14 TDs and 302 yds rushing 7 TDs) and Dayton’s injured senior RB #1 Denim Foster (1030 yds rushing 20TDs). Final score was 7-49 PNG.
In the last five years Dayton is 25-26 and made the playoffs once in 2022 losing to Brenham 28-42 in bi-district.
In the last five years PNG has won all five games 49-7 in 2025, 30-3 in 2024, 49-21 in 2023, 35-28 in 2022, and 42-35 in 2021.
