Huntsville should be a favorite in Region 3.

These are the biggest obstacles for PNG or any other team to get past in Region 3.


I like our chances with RJ back and a defense that can now make some stops.

Don't forget Manvel. They're not as good as they have been in past years, but they're capable of beating Huntsville.

Manvel has played a weak schedule which accounts for the high scoring. And Crosby beat them.


They’re good but Huntsville will give them a game.

Assuming Huntsville, Manvel, FB Marshall, and A&M Consolidated win in first round two of them will be eliminated in the second rounds.

I think we got about the most favorable draw possible. Should make it to regional semi finals at the very least.

FB Marshall is the favorite. They've gone four rounds deep two years in a row, including a 49-47 loss last year to SC College Station in which they lead till the end. Top it off with them adding a highly requited junior dual threat QB from out of state before school started this season and a 10-0 record (including a W over Manvel). Only question will be outside of Manvel and Willowridge, the other 6 games in that district were cake walks, will that hurt them in the playoffs?

Then Huntsville with the best defense in region. Then Manvel. I'd say Region three is the toughest, but winning it all means beating Aledo. Many have tried. Few have succeeded!

JUST FOR FUN. I think we’ll play Northside. Lindale. (Surprise pick):A&M Consolidated. Then if we win that one I pick Marshall or Huntsville (tough one) to make it to Region Finals. Then I pick CC Calallen out of region IV and Aledo.
I Pick A&M to knock of FB Marshall. And Huntsville over Manvel. I’d LOVE to play Marshall in the region finals. Then again I’d also sort of like to have a Bum Phillips Bowl II. held in the Astrodome. For the region III final. HOW GREAT WOULD THAT BE?

The games immediately following Thanksgiving seem to have the most upsets to me. So, picking A&M Con. to top Marshall is definitely a possibility.

PNG coach Brandon Faircloth confirmed the possible location Thursday. The winner Friday would play either Lindale or Montgomery.

I just saw this as well. Not counting my chickens. If a win is in order, hoping for a Saturday game.
