Time to reshuffle the OL.
I spoke with a friend that saw the WB scrimmage, but not the WO-S scrimmage. The varsity has two solid RBs. One was a north/south runner. Not a big bruising RB, but a strong runner that was not afraid to run over people. #21 or #20-something. The slot-WR has been the go to guy. He catches the ball and gets up the field with some quickness. No speedy deep threat. The OL was good at power-run blocking, but they had some issues with pass protection. A solid power-run OL is a good thing. That all sounds promising. As the OL gels, they should be a strength of the team. QB is fine. He can throw the ball all over the yard. On defense, the DL and LBs are good. They have some size to rumble. Regardless of the level of play, everyone picks on DBs. Pee-wee, JR-high, high school, college, and pro...everyone picks on the DBs. As long as our kids play hard, do their best to keep everything in front of them, and have fun playing a game, I can live with the results and be happy. DBs will make mistakes. That's OK. Play hard, be coach-able, do your best, and have fun. Kicker is rock solid. We have a kicker that is reliable on FGs from 30yds-40yds out. He will kick it deep on kick-offs. That is all the info that I have. I'm excited to see the Indians. I think the Indians will have a good season and another fun ride. Our Indians may not go undefeated, but the pieces are there for another DC. I hope that our kids avoid injuries and have some fun.
Go Indians. Peace.
