I will continue to check into this, but I know some folks may be heading West in the next day or so I thought I would give you some information on IH 10 Road Construction in Houston. This is off TXDOT's website - IH10 - Westbound - Normandy to Normandy Description: Right lane closed - Motorists should expect delays. This is in the area between Beltway 8 and Loop 610. Didn't see this on the website, but I know there is contruction in the area where US 59 South splits off IH 10 West. The lanes are pretty tight in that area and there are long delays even in the middle of the day. Personally, I plan to go IH 10 to Mont Belvieu, South on SH 146 over the Fred Hartman bridge then get on Hwy. 225 North to Loop 610 South past the Galleria and then West on IH 10. This route will avoid both of the above construction areas. So INDIAN NATION be safe on the road.

If you want to pay the tolls you can take Beltway 8 from I10 to I10. It might save alot of time in traffic. You pick up 8 in Pasadena I believe and it comes out on the west side of town closer to Katy.

We are leaving tomarrow evening and staying night with the mom in law in Katy and then leaving just about noon or 1 on friday trying to split the trip up a little and got to have me so Genghis Grill Before we had to San Antonio

I talk to people with TXDOT almost everyday. Not as bad on Saturday and Sunday, but still bad.

Beltway might be fine but not my choice. I don't care for toll roads. I don't have an EZtag and don't like stopping at the booths. Besides the Beltway is not 100% complete, by that I mean 100% freeway so you have red lights.
