I am not much of a prediction maker. Maybe because I love the stats side so much its hard to make predictions until I have stats. I will say this based of of returners stats, the size and athleticism of the team, and coaching I would like to think we are looking at a good season. Any thoughts? Maybe someone with better incite?

History has shown that statistics don't win tough games. FB Marshall and Liberty Hill proved that last season. I’ll take the fundamentals and confidence that the Indian coaching staff is instilling any day over the stats race.

I would like to think that the wins will be consistent next season, but all I predict is a fundamentally solid and aggressive team that has a lot of quality players that are going to be tough to handle. The extra 6+ weeks of playoff practice and playing will make next years juniors and seniors even tougher. I like their chances against all 10 regular season opponents. And I won’t be surprised if this team wins it all.

I’m not big on making predictions, mainly because I HATE being wrong…ask my husband :p! Don’t mean to discredit our prior coaching staff because they did great things, but there’s just something “different” brewing in the air at The Reservation with Coach Joseph and company that I haven’t felt in quite a while! Definitely seems like he’s brought the Dodge/Joseph mindset and legacy of building a CHAMPIONSHIP program to PNG!
So, my “prediction” is….MANY more Purple Pep Rally’s at Buc-ees to come!!

Despite what any haters around SE Texas and beyond like to regurgitate, PN-G has almost always had the kids, the talent and the heart to win big. But there is also a mental switch in the heads of young football players that needs to be flipped. And when that’s done, like Ethridge and other great coaches have done in the past, not only is belief and self confidence turned on, the expectation of winning becomes a reality. As in we will play our game and we WILL beat you. Of course not every win is always achieved even in the best of seasons. Matchups and execution do matter. But just getting to the big game is a huge accomplishment and the mentality to do that seems to be present again.

Texas City has Earl Campbell Jr (not literally) returning for his Sr year I believe.

Was their best player as a sophomore.

PN-G opens 2023 with PAM, #8 in 5A Division I and will get an opportunity to play FBM and TXC in district. Three tough opponents but these Indians are up for the challenge. Thinking back to 2022, PN-G was one bad half away from winning it all. But for some turnovers and SOC playing much better in the 2nd half, PN-G was darn close to taking home the big prize.
