Man I'm glad we don't have those ugly pants anymore.
Old video I know but the music was the point.

Expecting that we might be playing this one after the game. This song is as much of a flashback to the ‘77 season as you will find. PN-G didn’t claim the trophy that season either but that team was still a championship group.

Eicher, Shipley, Delcambre, Fry, Coplin, R. Ethridge, Harvey, Cooley, Brack, Miller etc, if you’re around and happen to read this, you guys are still the standard as far as championship players.

And a few others like Howard Kern, Robert DeRutte, Chris Plaia and others who are no longer with us will always be remembered as the great, great players that they were.

These ‘22 and ‘23 players are following in your footsteps and making their own history. Hoping that this year is the year to be champions again.

You are so right! Every time I hear this song I think of that '77 season. The first time I ever heard "We Will Rock You," which was on the flip side of this record, was on the drive to Dallas for the state championship game with Plano. That was the first time I had ever driven behind the wheel on a road trip. I fully expected to be singing "We Are the Champions" when I got back home. It was a long, very disappointing trip back.

I remember that year PN-G was ranked #1 in the state from mid-season up until the Plano game. With the talent we have coming back next year, I look forward to seeing us back at the top once again!

Well, it was 46 years late, but I finally got to sing this song to myself on the way home after a PN-G state championship! Saturday night after the game, I was listening to a Dallas radio station in the car. The song, "In the Air Tonight" by Phil Collins was playing. When I heard the line, "I've been waiting for this moment all my life," it suddenly dawned on me: I HAVE been waiting for this moment all my life!! Go Indians!

So say we all!!

And the Phil Collins song was a great touch on the PNG primetime video!
