Speaking of Mr. Long's bands, does anyone remeber the game at Ned., when the whole band was spread all over the field? Uh, not on purpose either, it was a huge mess. There were upset people everywhere you looked.

Here's a missing soloist. In 1989 the trombone soloist is Chad Wilson. I remember because he is playing my horn. Also, I think the Durango soloist is Buddy Commander. I recognize the others but I can't place the names right now.

I was part of that first ever PN-G band that went to STATE in 1980. That bow was at the end of "Send in the Clowns." I remember that we campaigned for the district to let us go. I still have the small signs we wore. It was absolutely fantastic being part of Mr. Long's band. That was the last marching drill he wrote as he retired at the end of the school year in 1981.

I recall a half time performance when they turned down the lights and wore glow sticks. They formed the Starship Enterprise from Star Trek and it was awesome. Does anyone remember the year?

I saw that and it was awesome. That was back in the days when the band had a different routine every week. Maybe late 70's or early 80's. I also loved the purple and white "dome" made with umbrellas by the Indianettes. Awesome!
