Baytown is having a bad season so far I expect the Indians to have another big game.

I don't think this game will even be close. The NDNs will kick off district with a resounding win! Don't expect to see much of the starters halfway through the 3rd quarter.

We have a short week with a game next Thursday. The quicker we get our starters out, the better.

It isn't a question of whether or not we will win... it's by how much. I think Baytown is going to have a loooooooonnnnggg bus ride back.

I'm about to go a little off topic:
Admittedly, I don't know much about GCM, but I really don't care too much for our schedule leading up to Nederland--Baytown, GCM, and Lumberton. I know Ned is having a down year (so far), but anything can happen at MCM and it seems the only test we will have had is WOS.

Problem with blowout wins is if the starters are pulled early, they're not working on eliminating the turnovers and penalties.

Bingo. I say we don't call off the dogs until at least the fourth quarter in every game. Except Nederland. Let 'em stay in the whole game for that one.

I think it is Parent nite? May want to play all, probably the right thing to do.

During the 75/76 run the 2nd team went in 3rd period (1st team went in 1st series 2nd half) if up by 21 points. Made parents happy, school board happy= votes.

Remember this is High School football - team work, morals, grades, doing what is right, etc...I believe you can win and build character.

We tend to get away from that now a day's. My opinion - probably in the minority.

All valid points, but if a long awaited, deep run in the playoffs is to be realized, this team would benefit from all the game reps that they can get. Especially this early in the season. Execution needs improvement and mental mistakes (penalties) are too frequent. This team is talented, and I hope they have plenty of reps to reach the level that the 75-77 groups did. Whatever is within reach, they need to reach beyond.

Well, Central opened up a can of whoop ars last night on GCM. Central has some very good running backs. GCM is a running team. They have very little pass defense. OK NDN's. Central had nearly 600 yards of offense.
I think the boys can do better than Central. Lets get the W and get ready for the next victim.
PNG 62, Lee 10. PNG total offense 625. Lee 125.

I think this is another year where Central will be our biggest competitor in district play. Which is pretty cool, because I actually get to see the Central game this year.

Indians looking good. Kody Cropper came out, after a nifty run, and was icing his ankle. Hate to see that. We need to get healthy. We have a lot of injured players.

1. Baytown Lee is horrible. Exponentially bad. They are sinking to the bottom. The Indians' JV team would beat the Ganders' varsity team 10 out of 10 times. Lumberton won't finish in last place this year. It will be Baytown Lee in the cellar.
2. I like the alternative uniforms worn by PN-G.
3. PN-G could have scored 70 points had Coach Faircloth put the hammer down. Thankfully, he slowed the pace of the game and ran the ball to keep the clock moving in between penalties by both teams.
4. Need to clean up the penalties.
5. The PN-G band is large and sounds great. The tempo of Cherokee has picked-up. That is a good thing.
6. The PN-G football program is $4.00 and it is worth every penny. Color photographs and a first class look. Lots of families celebrating their kids and that, too, is a good thing.
7. PN-G has 3 capable RBs...#27 Brant Halfin (SR), #25 Kody Cropper (JR), and #33 Jace Runnels (SOPH).
8. PN-G has a bunch of WRs...break-out game for #11...a SOPH who will only get better and taller; #10 aint too shabby, very quick set of wheels; #8, #32, #21, #26, and too many others to list.
9. PN-G home side was packed...keep winning and watch the crowd size grow come the Nederland and Central games...get 2 or 3 rounds deep in the playoffs and huge crowds will come watch this Indian team.
10. It will take a good game and big effort for a district opponent to knock off PN-G.

Go Indians. Peace.
