Looks like someone familiar with the Bears is aware of his potential. Too bad the coaching staff was not. Hopefully the new coaching staff will recognize it.

Well, I always thought that Chicago was a crappy team for RJ to be picked by.

RJ only had 55 carries last season. Not many but he averaged 2.7 ypc. Not sure if that’s due to the plays being called for him, lack of blocking, or what. Swift only averaged 3.8 ypc. Not exactly impressive either. Doubtful any back will be very successful on that team as it is.

It appears that many, if not most, of his carries were in short yardage situations, particularly near the goal line. Consequently, his stats are likely to be misleading.
