I wanted to take a minute and let the PNG nation know that you provided me one heck of a night of entertainment. I live in the Houston area and am a fan of Texas high school football. I saw you play Brenham and was empressed with the entire experience. The fans, the band, the Indianettes and cheerleaders, all embody what Texas sports is all about. I now have a new favorite 4A team to follow in the future. It is awsome to see a team so supported by their community. Thanks

:welcome:...please don't be a stranger! If you really want to see something...come on down to The Reservation next season and catch one of our games, you will NOT be disappointed! I highly recommend, Mid County Madness, that's when we play our biggest rival....it's one of, if no THE biggest rivalry in TX!

welcome aboard 340. And 91 is right. That would be an outstanding game to attend. A bit of a warning though. You had better order your tickets early....like NOW! :welcome:

Are you the gentleman whose wife works at the stadium?

No, my wife doesn't work at the stadium. PNG just happened to be playing fairly close to my home. There is not much good I can say about living near a big city (like Houston), except for football playoff time. It is nice to be able to see so many good teams come and face off with one another in your own backyard. I have been known to see a game on Friday night and two more on Saturday (my wife loves when I do that). So, I have seen many teams from all over the state, and none has given me the same overall experience that PNG has.

I definitely understand. Some say Indian football is an addictive as crack cocaine! I never want to check out that fact, but I do know how addictive the Indians are! We even go to games that we know we'll lose (in the past). You are always welcomed at the Reservation. Come soon and come often. Our JV went undefeated this year, also, so we're looking forward to several more great years. You'll have so much fun being part of it.

Hey...."340" should get a shirt made that says something like..."Adopted into the Tribe"...or...."I once was lost, but now I'm an INDIAN!" ;D

It is infectious. Come join us anytime. You might want to think about joining the INDIAN NATION at the Alamodome in September. It will be awesome.

As a fan of PNG's biggest rival (Nederland :woohoo:) that 91 refers to, I have to agree she is 100% right!! The entire week of that game has both communities fired up something fierce...and the GAME itself...well..you've got to see it to appreciate what she is talking about. And the new Reservation is one of the premier HS football stadiums in the state. We are 3 small predominantly blue collar communities, but when it comes to our HS football...we're right up there with the big time cities.

Remember we were 5A and playing schools with double our enrollment when we beat Odessa Permian for the state championship. I also hope we do NOT add Galveston Ball to our line-up. They were the most unsportsmanlike team we ever played--they even resorted to biting our players! I would like to play Lake Travis or Katy pre-season. We lost a game preseason when we won state. (South Houston-the junkyard dogs) Then we beat them up in regionals and went on to win state. A loss this year would've been good for the team--if it'd been preseason.

There was no 5-A in 75. 4-A was the largest schools back then.
I know that, but didn't want to type too much. :sorry: I should've said we played the highest level of HS football and beat lots of teams with more student enrollment. After all, all you need to win state are 22 of the states best football player along with the best coaches in the state. Also, the loudest and biggest fan base helps, too.

PN-G INDIANS FOOTBALL

I could not be more proud of our team and our community. The spirit here is unmatched! I am so lucky to be a part of it and to wear the purple and white! The journey of this football season, with these coaches and our players, will stay with me forever.  -- PN-G Head Coach Jeff Joseph
