Anyone else see that Vidor was picked by Campbell to win district?

I was so shocked that I only paid half attention to the rest of the story; but I think he put the top four in this order:

1. Vidor
2. Nederland
3. PNG
4. Lumberton

Very interesting; has anyone heard about what kind of team Vidor is expected to have this season.

Don't put much into anyone from outside of this area when it comes to predicting HS Football.

They also picked Lumberton to win 2 games the year they went to the regionals! We all new Lumberton was way better than a 2 win team.

If we finish third with a first time HC in a new system with all the underclassmen that will see significant PT this year I will me very pleased! That folks is progress.

For me, Vidor is one of those "beleive it when I see it" teams. Much like Slumberton was last yr. I remember about 3-4 yrs ago when Vidor had about 20 seniors on their team, and most were expecting GREAT things out of them....they went like 3-7 that yr. Time will tell, but, as much as I like Mathews, I think he's out coached most of the time.
