I am not sure but wouldn't the 1999 baseball be considered 2000 since that is when the games were played? Anyway it was something to be in the state finals for both football and baseball in the same school year which I guess was 1999-2000.

There are some banners in the Competition Gym at the high school that honor past State Championship Rock-A-Noo (sp?) teams. I believe they are '72, '78, '79, '81, and '82, but I could be wrong.

Dylan Richards won the high jump today and is going to the state tournament in June. He jumped 6'6" to win first place.

The 1975 Permian game? 23,427

Permian came into the game with just 14 giveaways in as many games, but before 23,427 here Saturday at Texas Stadium, the takers had become the givers. "I guess maybe we were just overdue for some," Wilkins said. "You Know it’s kind of ironic that we should give up that many turnovers when usually that’s what we rely on ourselves."
