I guess anyone who’s ancestor worked with cows can have a grievance with the Cowboys. Oh well I’ll probably delete my posts. Long live the PNG Indians.

Where is the outrage directed at the Kansas City Chiefs, Atlanta Braves, Chicago Blackhawks, Florida State Seminoles, Utah Utes, or the high schools in Oklahoma that have mascot names such as Indians, Braves, Chieftains, Warriors, Savages, and at least one that I found online named Redskins?

PN-G may say thanks, we hear you Cherokee Nation, we respect your position, and we choose to do nothing. However, the next hurdles will be the pressures placed upon the UIL and the companies that do business with PN-GISD. The cancel culture will go after the UIL and business partners of PN-GISD. They will make it difficult for PN-GISD to hire outside contractors, to purchase athletic equipment, to purchase band instruments, or to do every day business educating children. Next, administrators and teachers in PN-GISD will be targets. Next, the athletic teams, band, drill team, and all of the student groups will be booed and placed under a microscope for simply showing up at a game, contest, or event. Finally, the cancel culture will engage in a war of attrition by filing lawsuits and draining the resources of PN-GISD.

The fact that PN-GISD has had core values of HONOR, PRIDE, and TRADITION for nearly 100 years will mean nothing to those determined to attack and destroy. The fact that students of PN-GISD are taught to honor and respect the histories and cultures of Native Americans will mean nothing to the cancel culture.

The fact that there is pride at all angers the mob. From the flag to meaningful history all traditions must go up in flames. No such thing as male and female. It’s a purposeful offensive against our way of life. Turn everything upside down and they think we ll give up.

There is no doubt that all indigenous peoples should have pride in their ancestry and that nothing about Port Neches-Groves High School detracts from that. When we speak of pride in our own local history, school and accomplishments, it's about pride in the past generations who built our communities and schools, who achieved excellence in education or athletics, who later became successful citizens in life, and the continuing efforts of the current generation to work hard toward achieving excellence. The same timeless ideals that are the basis of every successful nation, community and individual. We can attribute those accomplishments to the personal talent and effort of every dedicated PN-G teacher, coach, student and athlete, past and present. That is and will always be our core tradition.

Our HONOR, PRIDE, and TRADITION will stand strong for the next 100 years and beyond.

I’m very very surprised they haven’t gone after Lamar. Shows they’re not familiar with history only surface names.
Don’t give them any ideas!
Fact is every facet of US and world history could be scrutinized by these malice filled people. They would like to erase everything. No country, no individual is free of judgement if humanity wishes to take it to that level. Not the formula for a stable and peaceful world.

It will only stop when we turn the microscope towards them. It’s not rational sides tendency to get mean but I think it’s time we did.

PN-G INDIANS FOOTBALL

I could not be more proud of our team and our community. The spirit here is unmatched! I am so lucky to be a part of it and to wear the purple and white! The journey of this football season, with these coaches and our players, will stay with me forever.  -- PN-G Head Coach Jeff Joseph
