I'm wondering when they will rename America, everything else is changing. This will never end, this country is toast.

This reminds me of the line in the move ‘The Village’. “Those we don’t speak of...”
For fear of retribution, attack of the online mob, or just because we chose to respond with our vote.

I am very wary of discussing religious or political topics because there might be someone that believes differently amongst the members of this online community. I’ll just say we are living a critical page in history and at a fork in the road. And to look beyond the surface issues of the day. You can fill in the blanks...

Doesn't surprise me one iota that this is coming due to the current cancel culture environment....it's very sad and what we are having to deal with in the world today. All you have to do is ask yourself why now when they have always supported the school district and our mascot who pays homage and doesn't disrespect Indians.

On a side note, same culture called on the Texas Rangers to change their name to.... in my opinion, this is getting out of control.

This is a phenomenon that historians and psychologists alike will study for decades.

Sad times in which ‘cultures’ and Americans are being divided by narratives that are planned to sow discontent and controversy across the nation. We hear talk of a lack of equality and acceptance, yet some people are ostracized for any effort to overlook differences and celebrate what we admire about our diverse history and cultures. Instead we are asked to live in an age of new segregation of society and thought.

Great quotes:
"Today’s woke activists, the ones scouring Wikipedia to ferret out historical injustices no one really remembers, on the other hand, are sanctimonious, imperious, undereducated, censorious, and authoritarian. If they succeed, they won’t make life better for anyone, but they’ll end up stripping American culture of its wonderful peculiarity and historical flavor."

"The acknowledgment of Native American bravery and fearlessness, once embedded in our sporting ethos, celebrated from elementary school to professional leagues, will soon be gone. It’s a shame."

Tnanks for sharing this article. I had heard comments that the vast majority of Native Americans are not offended, but didn't have the actual statistics. Interesting how the leftists dismiss all of the polls. Facts don't matter when you're "woke".
