I wish he had not had the incident causing his resignation. He was an excellent OC, OL, and S/T coach in 2022 and 2023.
I regret both the incident and the fact that he let down his fellow coaches and the team by no longer being here to contribute. He had a good situation to utilize both his coaching and leadership skills. Very unfortunate turn of events that could have been entirely avoided. Personal choices matter.

I think some people deserve a second chance...I'm glad Coach Samples gave him a second chance he's probably got a good shot at a 3rd state championship ring this year

I didn’t hear what happened being outside the loop (610 that is)
In Houston there’s a “joke” (saying whatever) there’s INSIDE the loop then outside

We own a yoga studio and several years ago we had a celebrity come do a workshop

Got a call
“Im so excited he’s coming to Houston I usually have to fly to Phoenix etc etc”
Where are y’all located (Pasadena at that time)

“Oh … I don’t go outside the loop”

The unwashed are there outside the loop

It’s best not to discuss the incident details in a public forum. It’s both a personal and personnel issue that was handled in the best manner decided by PNGISD. In my opinion questioning if someone was not given chances is debatable. We don’t know the complete history. It’s great that he has a new position.

He will not be there long enough to win a bunch of rings in the future. He will be run off from this school too like he has been from every other school he’s been at. I personally think he should be kicked out of coaching period.

Coach Joseph brought in a good, young o-line coach Roland who can walk the talk. He’s also familiar with the weights so look for him to bring some new blood that will step right in and prepare and coach that o-line well.

Also, Collin Gizzi was a big part of the offensive scheme the last two seasons and he will be great as OC. Also a former PNG Indian so his purple blood will also fit right in and keep that offense rolling.

This staff is a team and they will come up with the schemes and plays together as needed, prepare the kids and keep them motivated.

Word is the 2024 team will be better than last season.

Certain core areas *should* be better just based on returning talent. A few positions have new faces. The offense without Isaiah Nguyen will be interesting. But Chatagnier and the young running backs coming up look great. On defense, tough to replace a Cabrera, Richard, Johnson, Droddy, Scroggs, etc on defense. But the returning defensive starters are going to be beasts.

Those returning leaders have a good feel for how the team performs after two state championship seasons under their belt. The players are saying this team will be better.
