We all love OUR Indians nissanindian. I think a lot of people out there are worried about facing OUR Indians. They do not like the fact that We are excited and enthusiastic about OUR Indians, BUT WE ARE AND WILL BE ALL SEASON LONG!! They are afraid of what is coming during district and do not want to face it. Get ready out ther because THE INDIANS ARE COMING AND THEY ARE READY TO PLAY!

I for one, think its great that things have turned around so much from the past several years. Seems everything is on the upbeat for ya'll and that's awesome. You have every reason to be as enthused as you are, however, IMHO and with all due respect, I don't think you should take any district team for granted or think that any of the other 7 teams are scared to face ya'll. Every team in district is hungry...some teams just may be better equipped to satisfy their appetites.

Fans will be fans with enthusiastic statements. The coaches and players are more than aware that every game is business. There's zero chance that Coach Faircloth will take anything for granted. So the enthusiasm continues... :helmet:

Nissan Indian,
Man, dont let these fools get to you! I'm seeing the same things you are and I too, am excited. Some of the clowns on other boards post stuff just to make an ass of themselves. One of the Vidor fans made a post about us not playing quality opponents. Vidor has played Kelly and St. Thomas! Too many times I type a reply to these stupid posts only to delete it and move on. I guess there are a lot of folks that are just jealous or resent us. Not just for our first class facilities, but for the rich heritage, traditions and a fan experience they will never be able to come close to. Let this stuff roll off your back and please do me a favor: When I get the reds and make a retalitory post, please remind me to do the same. Take care brother! I'll see you Friday evening!

Also, good post Yankeedawg!

yankeedawg--I was not trying to imply that any team is afraid to play us--it is more a case of our team getting on a roll and creating the large enthusiastic following that we had in past years. I know that these very large and vocal crowds can be really intimidating. I know for sure that our coaches and our team would never take another team for granted, and as a loyal fan neither would I. I have nothing but respect for all the teams in our district and recognize it as one of the toughest districts in Texas.

Fellow fans, if that big offensive line comes together, the Indian's offense will be dominant. All the skill players are there. And as Doty gains more experience running that offense, the sky's the limit. He throws on the run as well as any high school QB I've ever seen. This offense is the real deal.

On defense, the greatest weakness year in and year out has been the defensive backfield. That's now a strength. Coming up with a scheme to stop Vidor's running attack may be the greatest challenge of the season.

I think that the real challenge for the Indians will be to just take things one week/game at a time. They shouldn't worry about what any other team may or may not be doing, until their week of preparation for that team. This is a tough district and each week will have its respective challenges.

I don't think you have to worry about the boys looking ahead. Coach Faircloth will keep them focused on the team we are playing. These boys are ready, and we have a good leader to keep their heads on straight. They are taking nothing for granted.
