Liberty Hill lost the district title to Bastrop tonight 35-31. Bastrop we will see you in Region 2 two years from now.
Liberty Hill gets Brenham in the area round. Brenham (9-1) beat Huntsville in the opening game of the season. Brenham plays Texas City ( 5-4) in bidistrict. Liberty Hill (8-2) plays San Antonio Sam Houston (5-5) in bi district. Winner in area round gets Richmond Randle in Regional round. as outstanding as Randle’s offense is this year (54.6 pts per game) their defense is outstanding as well. Given up 7.2 points per game this season.

What’s the concern with how LH gets preferential treatment ? We’ve beaten them twice now and their game plan compared to ours tells us no matter how far apart or close the score is, we have their number. If anyone’s getting put on a pedestal is it not SOC ?

Liberty Hill has a player whose father was on the UIL realignment committee. Many people, including me, found the 2024-2026 realignment of Regions 2, 3, and 4 strange---some of the moves did not make sense. For example, why would the UIL put the teams in District 8-5A in Region 2, when historically they have been in Region 3, which is the Houston area region. Why would anyone with an IQ above 70, put PN-G and Nederland in a Dallas | NE Texas Region? PN-G and Nederland are 90 miles east of Houston and 290 miles southeast of Dallas and 290 miles south of Texarkana. It makes no geographic sense to put PN-G, Nederland, Dayton, Huntsville, MLC, Montgomery, West Fork, or Splendora in Region 2. Other than, someone wanted to make Liberty Hill's path to a state champioship appearance a tad easier. Get rid of PN-G (a team that has beat you 2x), Huntsville, Nederland, MLC, and Montgomery. Either the UIL is blind, dumb, or both to move District 8-5A to Region 2. Maybe, the LH dad forgot to look at Richmond Randle. I'm guessing in 2026, the LH dad will move Richmond Rander to 5A-Division I, or they will be put in Region 2 with PN-G, Nederland, Huntsville, SOC, Texas High, Marshall, et al. Ha-ha. That's the conspiracy theory behind Liberty Hill. If I forgot something or misstated something, someone else jump in and correct me. GO INDIANS.

Watching Nederland vs Montgomery game on Texan Live.
Montgomery executed a classic text book 1 minute drive to force the game to overtime after a Nederland TD. They went 64 yards with mostly passing. They patiently and systematically chewed up the distance 5-10 yards at a time.
Montgomery just barely was able stop Nederland's OT drive.
Montgomery was then able to get the OT TD with running the ball.
It was bad weather for sure but Montgomery was still able to throw the ball. Nederland was less able.
Crazy game :)

Yes I understand all that, what im referring to is SOC getting the transfers and having the benefit of being moved like you’d mentioned and then having the UIL strip their opponents of games wins etc for doing shady things yet like I said SOC getting away with murder as far as favoritism goes

Those two teams and others are the darlings of the DCTF establishment for some reason. They also have DFW and Austin media coverage. The Indians are in a corner of the state that’s isolated and with poor media coverage. PN-G is more like the politically incorrect outsider being the Indians and all that PI BS.

Who fills up the stadiums and provides the best high school game experiences with as much or more historical significance than other teams? PN-G.

But we’ve never been in the region with LH
We always have beaten them in the semi finals

Richmond Randle will probably be 6A by the time the next realignment happens

Why would anyone associated with LH want them in any other region but region 4 where they have had no competition to get 5 rounds each year???
In any other region they’re a 3 round team at best.
What is crazy is that IF PNG gets through region 2 and past Region 1, chances are very high PNG and Richmond Randle both travel from Houston to play in Dallas for a title.

Good question. LH has had years of success in Region 4. My guess is the number of 5A-D2 schools in the Valley, Coastal Bend, and San Antonio area pushed LH into Region 3, which is usually and generally much tougher than Region 4. It will all be moot in five or six weeks thanks to Richmond Randle. GO INDIANS.
