FINAL: Indians 50, Ganders 6

I left with 4:00 to go in the 3Q...PN-G was winning 44-6.

1. In warm-ups I was worried PN-G would be flat. It was wet, no one had energy, and maybe we had some kids moving slow due to the physical game with Nederland.

2. I was surprised to see how far Baytown Lee has fallen off. They don't have very many kids out for football. Several Lee kids play offense, defense, and special teams. They were not in good shape and worn out by the 2Q. I can't see how Lee has numbers for a 5A program. I bet WOS and Bridge City have bigger rosters than Lee.

3. PN-G fans must not like wet weather. Not many fans in attendance.

4. The Marching I still looks great marching at Stallworth stadium as it has done for 50 years.

5. #27 #25 and #14 ran the ball very well.

6. #10 played well and did a good job catching a wet ball.

7. The defense played a lot of kids. Nice to see #96 back on the DL. Lots of kids rotated in and out on the DL. They all played well.

8. Good game for the Indians all around. I didn't see any injuries.

9. Someone in the stands was yelling for the Indians to throw a pass to the TE. "He's open...throw him the ball." I started watching the TE...#46. He does get open. Maybe we should throw him the ball.

GREAT WIN INDIANS!!!

Nederland lost 40-35. Must have had trouble rebounding from last week. They should have won this game.
I watched end of game. They made a couple of big mistakes at the end that cost them, including an unsportsmanlike penalty after taking the lead with about a minute left, followed by a delay of game penalty on the kickoff. This had them kicking from the 20 and they proceeded to allow TC a big runback to around Nederland 25. They got the ball back with about 45 secs left after a quick TC score and moved it to around the 25 before throwing an Int in the end zone.

Silly mistakes the difference between Lake Creek, vs an away game in Huntsville or Montgomery.

PNG Sophomores showing out tonight in the 1st half. Jaxon Neeb, Gavin Jones, Jude Stewart, and Flako Valdovinos. Hope to see some more in the 2nd half
Flako Valdvinos was to be a go to RB for Nederland. Glad he is an Indian now.
