It was nice meeting you too Squaw. And after I got home, I started wondering if I had already known you from the old C B Radio days. I was known as "Skipper" back then. Now THOSE were some fun times!

Well Squaw, What about it???

Yes, I remember talking over the CB in those good ole days. It sure was fun going to the Astrodome and talking to truckers on the CB. They used to ask "what the he** is a PNG?" I also remember Skipper but not details.

I remember taking a tour of the Astrodome and having to go to the restroom that was situated right on the 50! Boy, we had great seats. I also remember getting in line at 5:00 am at Texas Stadium when we won state. We were so early that the guard asked me if I would help him watch the gates until reinforcements got there. We (a friend and I) got to go inside the stadium and place our blankets, etc., where we wanted to sit. It was awesome. Also, after we won, Coach Ethridge told the security guard to let the parents into the boys locker room to celebrate with their sons. I got hugged by so many sweaty young men! Oh, those are the days of dreams. I hope some of you younger fans get to experience all we did in those days.

I remember our bus trip to Texas Stadium, we were singing cuz Kent Guidry had his guitar with him - he and Jennifer were just dating at the time...fun times. I remember getting so familiar with the Astrodome, it was impossible to get lost. I was a kid so I was sitting at the very top section( the yellow ) and watching Randy Etheridge run the kick off all the way back (90 yards) for a touch down!!!

I also remember the 1999 game against Schertz Clemens played at Kyle Field. As usual, we were there around 6:00 am and spent time in the drizzling rain with Liz Anderson and Beau Wortham's mom (forgot name--senior moment). We just happened to get into the stadium and visited with Coach Slocum who showed us the facilities and allowed us to place our seats where we wanted them. See, many years between 1975 and 1999 and the magic is still there. I have my hopes that the magic is returing again!

I so remember that game, I was in a wheelchair after having surgery on my leg the week before in Houston. That was a great year and I only missed one game and that was the one against LaMarque but my husband was at the game. I was in MD Anderson and had surgery the day before. Awesome times!!!

Well, it sounds like you're doing good now. At least, I sure hope so!! We need all the purple-blooded Indians fans we can get! lol That game at Kyle Field was such a great game. I was crying and my grandson asked why and I told him it was because I knew we had lost the game. Then, here comes the Indians! How awesome that was. I told a Schertz fan that they played well (being a good sport) and he said "well, its the only game we lost this year." I even felt sorry for them for a minute.

I know Kent and Jennifer well. Heck, they were at my house 3 weeks ago for a crawfish boil. Best Pork-A-Bobs in town!

Kent and I are actually related, but not sure how...have to ask my mom. Heck, I am related to everyone around here!!! But you are right, best Pork-A-Bobs in town. Well, now that Mr. Hebert has passed away, this is. (May he rest in peace) Mr. Hebert had some dang good P-A-B's!!!

D.J. Hebert and my dad were cousins. The best, bar none! Now I just go to Kent and Jennifer's booth. I grew up knowing Kent, and was in Indianettes with Jennifer.

Is this the same family as James Hebert, the World Geography teacher at the high school?

No, not as as far as I know. They are like me - related to everyone...

They're doing good. I used to live across the street from them for 35 years.

I see them in Market Basket every so often and no they are in no way related to Jimmy Hebert. Jimmy was related to Wilton and Effie Hebert, not D.J. and Gertie.
