Fridays Pep Rally (12 minutes of it)

the Spirit in this pep rally was alot like the Dead fans at the Mid-County game :-/
Since the guy who posted the video will not compain ... I will!
1) One the band is not playing Cherokee when they are suppost to. If I was a betting lady I would guess that they will not break 80 times this year. They are too busy goofing off and not paying attension to the game. FYI when to play:
1st downs, end of quarters, when we score, to raise the fans spirit!
The Indian Spirit is the worst I have ever seen. He spends most of his time talking to hurt football players. Not once did we see him at the Nederland game try to get fans to yell. The poor cheerleaders were really working hard to get people to yell. They were screaming at people to stand up ... REALLY should they have to do that?
I can't hear I-N-D-I-A-N-S SCALP 'EM anymore .... What is happening to our Tradition?

You just criticized the band for not playing Cherokee enough and said that the Indian Spirit is the "worst (you) have ever seen" and you expect not to offend anyone?
Based on my observations over three years of high school, my thoughts are that the intensity level at the pep rallies tends to go up and down in accordance with our wins and losses. Is it right? I don't think so - I think that you should be proud of your team and pumped up for the game no matter what the record is. But that's just the way it is. The pep rally recorded in the video above may not have been very exciting, but I can guarantee you that next week's pep rally will be a whole lot of fun now that we've won a district game and can tell you that if you had been at, say, the pep rally before the Livingston game or the Brenham game last year, you would have been blown away.

I don't agree with you regarding the Indian Spirit. I don't think Brandon is a bad mascot, but that's just me.

wow, we win a game and some people are still not satisfied. I really appreciate your cheering and yelling at the game, but give the kids a break. BK has explained the band situation already and you are still bringing it up. As far as the Indian Spirit, he has been one of the best with the students and little kids. Maybe,he is encouraging the hurt and trying to lift spirits. I personally think he does just fine trying to excite the crowd. And for the Cheerleaders, this has been by far the best overall group of the past couple of years. They are dong a fine job of trying to keep the fans excited.
Great job tonight by the team, band, Indianettes, Indian Spirit, Twirlers, Cheerleaders, and G-Crew.

I'm gonna chime in and say that Brandon is the best Indian Spirit we have had in years! He is a fine young man to boot! Next home game, check him out under the stands before the game. He is taking pictures with our young fans and showing these kids what being Indian Spirit is all about. One mom told me that some of the Lumberton fans came by and had their picture taken with Indian Spirit.
As far as the band goes, they play when they are directed to. If you have a beef, take it up with the band directors. I see the Purple Pride Band getting bigger and better every year. And nobodys fussing that Cherokee is being played too slow or too softly.
