A real band, huh? I don't find people in Alabama, Louisiana, Washington, DC, and all parts of Texas asking about G-P's band, but I've found plenty that have mentioned the Marching I, Cherokee, and some of our more notable performances.

That's an impressive record alright, but how many times has G-P gone to the state marching competition? How many G-P students have played with the all-state band? How many does G-P put on the all-region band each year? How many first division soloists and ensembles does G-P produce each year? How many students march with the G-P band?

And last but certainly not least, how many people know G-P's fight song, fans included?

G-P Dude, I don't know if you're the same 'dude' that was banished last year, but you're beginning to push the wrong buttons.

Look up G-P band on youtube! Plenty of state apperances, like 20!

PN-G is not far behind that, and were it not for some stability problems that have occurred within the program in the last few years, our streak would extend into the 30s.

You didn't answer any of my other questions, though, and PN-G's remains the more prominent in terms of notoriety despite G-P's better marching record.

Say what? I was just wondering what I have done wrong in here, but express my school spirit! I was just wanting to establish that G-P also has a good band! So that when we play in the game we can have mutual respect! It also would be nice if you private messaged me instead of call me out on this PUBLIC forum! I did nothing wrong and broke no rules!

Congratulations on holding a national record. Truly, it is quite an accomplishment and honors your children. The Indian Nation loves to see children excel....they are our future.

However your words "Just a little history on a real band" imply that GP has the "real band" and PNG does not. Ridiculous. Our children - all our purple NDN Band children - can compete with anyone. They most certainly are a "real" band. Their pride, honor and tradition has brought them national and state recognition. I can think of the Disneyworld accolades, competition results, and currently our Drum Major's headress resides for all to see in the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum.

Careful. Everyone of us here will scream bloody murder if you try to malign our kids. That is a point to be called out upon now or anytime.

G-P puts on a pretty good show! Too bad that the show that PNG gets to view is still being worked on! Later in the season the show gets real good and if you would type in youtube Gregory-Portland band you will see past state performances.

You know, this thread is a little ironic since the G-P band didn't perform at halftime last night. ;D

I hope the G-P band members that passed out last night get well soon and wish the band the best of luck this year.
