It did.Hopefully pays off in OT
Any win against WOS is a big win. And the way they did it was impressive.#9 QB1

Just my 0.02 cents.
It's been 40 years since PN-G won back-to-back games vs. WO-S. 1982-1983 was the last time PN-G won back-to-back (actually it was three in a row 1981-1982-1983). Think about that. 40 years. Doug Ethridge was still leading our PN-G Tribe. Coach Joseph has carved out some history for his resume. Anytime you are mentioned with Doug Ethridge, you're in rare (and great) company.
Go Indians. Great comeback win.
We are going to need the bye to prepare for FBM. Hopefully the offense can improve and the defense can keep us in the game.Great effort and game by both teams. WO-S made some big plays but wasn’t a good match for the Indians size and depth. PNG came out and played like a different team in the second half. And at about 8:14 left in the 3rd, it was like someone flipped a switch. Good win but still lots of work needed on offense. Next week is a bye week.
WOS is a shell of what it was. Last year was its worst season in 39 years. I've watched WOS play at least 35 games over the last 30 years and I've never seen the arm tackling and generally poor tackling exhibited tonight. Hiawatha has failed to implement the previous standards established by Thompson and it shows.Penalties. Ball security. Passing. Those three things needed to improve after Week 1, and they need to continue to improve after Week 3. Tackling also needs to improve. I’m starting to think this is a talented team, just mildly lacking in experience and perhaps struggling with its offensive identity. That makes sense given we lost 15 starters from last year. Experience and team cohesion will come with time.
Nonetheless, PN-G beat a talented West Orange-Stark team in overtime with the back-up quarterback. As has already been pointed out, it’s the first time the Indians have strung together consecutive wins against the Mustangs in 40 years, and only the second time in the history of either school. For once (maybe the first time ever), the characteristic last second, come-from-behind nature of the PN-G/WO-S series favored PN-G. Coach Joseph remains undefeated in one score games at PN-G. A few hard winces aside, it was a fun game to watch, and another one for the history books.
I’m still glad we resurrected this series.
Oh please don’t discount the Indians win. WOS has a ton of speed and talent. PNG defense was rocking them all night.WOS is a shell of what it was. Last year was its worst season in 39 years. Just got back from the game and we made big time plays when it mattered. It may have not been pretty, but this team has some grit. Excited to see what the future holds this year!
