I know that some of our best teams had outstanding db's and this team looks to have some good ones. 1989 had some good ones 1999 also had some great ones. Plus how many years did we have a 2000 yard rusher and 1200 yard reciever back for us? Looks like a promising season.

I feel really good about the kids we have coming back. My worry is having to replace the big boys up front on both sides of the ball. The bad part of the spring was that we had so many injuries on the o-line, so they didn't get that time to come together as a unit. With having spring ball, we lose a week and only have one scrimmage, so it may take a little time for them to come together. With the coaches we have in place, they should have them hitting on all cylinders by district play.

What? Nobody said that y'all had injury's during the spring? Sorry to hear that :sorry: What positions and how many? :crip: I Hope all is well at the reservation.

G-P also has some spring injury's Both to the two running backs. Our D was putting the helmets on them.

Our coaches and players go 150% during the Spring. They'll have time to recover.

The O-Line will never be as good as the 5 last season.........They do have Nicotre 6 2 270 @ left tackle again...Along with Reasons,Sasanos,Lee,Kelly & Manginni.....They will do just fine ...Heard they are working hard.....With Miller @ QB ....The rushing & passing game will be fine also....Another receiver to go along with Nelson.....Couple of backs to complement Bertrand.......LOOK OUT FOR THE INDIANS............

The group of Seniors for this coming season went undefeated as Freshmen and on JV if I'm not mistaken. Correct me if I'm wrong please.

I have no kids playing but I believe you are correct..............Some of those guys could be 30-0 for regular season games.........That would be nice......

A COUPLE OF THINGS TO MENTION ABOUT THIS SENIOR CLASS.

1) LEADERSHIP ON AND OFF THE FIELD.
2)VERY COACHABLE-THIS MAYBE THE FOCAL POINT TO A BIG RUN IN THE PLAYOFFS
3)HEART-THIS WILL MAKE UP FOR BEING A BIT UNDER SIZED.THIS CLASS WILL FIGHT YOU TO THE END!!!

And. for those who weren't around in the 70's, the Indians were kicking you-know-what with 169 pound linebackers (our son) and we were picked to lose every playoff game. Heck, we were rated number 3 in the state at the final game (and this is actually true!) Everyone said we were "too light and too white" Didn't bother the Indians when we whipped up on Odessa Permian for a state championship. My point is that while size is nice, Indians win with heart.

Lets all pray that all the players have been working out this summer and staying in shape. I hope no one got lazi-ittis over the summer. Times ticking down and its hot outside, time will be here soon to separate the boys from the men !

First off I hope all is well with the young men who caught the injury bug in spring training at PNG and GP I look foward to a great game between the two. This PNG team is loaded with talent how long until they gel as a team????? I got a feeling when they do they are going to be stout.
