If we beat them who would we face in the second round of the playoffs?
Likely Kaufman (5-2) and (6-4) in district 6. I don’t believe Dallas Hillcrest out of the SOC district will beat Kaufman in bi district. Dallas Hillcrest lost to SOC 0-36. Kaufman offense reminds me of MLC based on viewing MacPreps recaps videos.

Baseball school
A town half in Gregg Co half in Harrison Co
(Longview / Marshall) which is rare one school district in 2 counties
Never very good at football even though sandwiched between two traditional football schools
Texas High beat them 56-0
But I believe TXK Gameday is hiding games from this year (smart)

Kind of nestled away on Highway 80 north of IH-20, if I recall correctly. Had to drive through one morning about two years ago on my way from a hotel in Longview to a meeting in Marshall. Knew a few folks who lived there at the time. Friendly people.

Unfortunately, my memory of it will always be jaded by watching a dog get hit on the highway while passing through.

I'm wondering how many JV will go varsity?
The more the better. All students actively involved in all phases of student school activities is a cornerstone of PNGISD. In my old PNG HS days there were student school bus trips to LaGrange, LA and Pasadena Sam Rayburn to watch football games.

I meant how many JV football players will be promoted now to the varsity for playoffs?

Yea, after seeing this game I think they are a better team than their record indicates. Looks like they have a lot of don't quit in them.
I concur. PNG coaches, players, spirt groups, and Indian nation have to bring their A game every week from here on. This 2023 state championship fatigue that has exhausted us all this season needs to disappear. Reenergize Indian nation or lose this moment in PNG history. Make new 2024 UTube videos that reaffirms the best HS fan base in America. makes us proud.

Yeah, if we can get tickets. GA doesn't go on sale until Wed., and if it's like MCM then I'll be watching (or trying to watch) NDN Press. And that's bad luck for us so far, so everyone cross your fingers that I get tickets! :)

It's a shame that the UIL is making teams travel that far for the first round. Insane.
I am searching for the longest round trips in other regions for comparison. I don’t believe it will be a contest in 5AD2. However, In 5AD1 District 9 Houston Milby traveling to Lufkin appears to be longest found so far.

Houston to Lufkin isn’t really that far. Nederland easy wins the door prize for traveling the furthest.
I agree only 254 miles round trip Htn to Lufkin in 5AD1. In 5AD2 Nederland to Texarkana is the longest. Looking at each division to see if UIL only targeted our District 8 or could claim others have to travel as far.

Hallsville won’t come down unless it’s parents of players
Two years after I graduated
A girl at college (who was from Hallsville)
Said
TEXAS HIGH?!?
Our drill team coach wouldn’t let us go to y’all’s Stadium for football games
(A combination of Hallsville mentality and how ghetto THS stadium was at the time)(it’s better now)

I can’t imagine there won’t be as many visitor side tickets as anyone might want or need. Not a lot of people are going to come down from Hallsville, I’m guessing.

6A d1 has an El Paso team playing a Lubbock team slightly farther than Ned to TXK
Those kinds of trips are an unavoidable necessity out there, though. The 6A Lubbock schools are in the same district as the 6A Midland-Odessa schools. When I went to see Permian play at home last year, they were hosting Lubbock-area Frenship for a district game.

It’s unavoidable in West Texas. Not so in East Texas.

I could not be more proud of our team and our community. The spirit here is unmatched! I am so lucky to be a part of it and to wear the purple and white! The journey of this football season, with these coaches and our players, will stay with me forever.  -- PN-G Head Coach Jeff Joseph
