Lots of factors affect wins, losses and scores, so they're not necessarily valid comparisons. They're just numbers but not unlike polls, they're good for conversation.

At his current pace Faircloth will be the winningest coach in PN-G history in either 2020 or 2021. He's tied with Ethridge and needs 9 wins to surpass Burnett. If he reaches 96 or more next season he'll have achieved that several years sooner than MB. We are living in good times for Indian Football.

Per the all-time coaching section on www.pngindians.com, Coach Watson had some strong numbers. He gets overlooked when discussing PN-G greats. In nine seasons, 1965-1972, he coached 81 games. He won 73% of his games, he never lost to Nederland, he was 3-4-1 vs. Port Arthur Thomas Jefferson, he won a DC when only one team per district made the playoffs, he never had a losing season as the Chief of PN-G football, and his offenses lit up the record books. Looking at the defensive numbers, his defenses were good, too. He had some great players and he won a lot of games. The history section at www.pngindians.com makes you think about some great coaches that came through PN-G.

Not too shabby when you beat your opponent by 10 points per game, you rack up 102 wins in 13 seasons, and the program is one of the smaller enrollments to compete in 5A-D2. On top of that, you run a clean program and you have a well-rounded boys' athletic program. Renew the man's contract.

Excellent point. Faircloth is in good company of PN-G coaches whose teams won by 10+ points per game. They are the best of the best.

McCollum +15
Watson +14
Ford +12
Ethridge +11
Faircloth +10

God bless Coach Joseph, his staff and all their families. We appreciate you Coach.

Rest assured even his dad Gary Joseph knows how much the communities of Port Neches and Groves appreciate his son and the dedicated coaches that work alongside him.

I believe there is much more Jeff Joseph will accomplish at PN-G. He’s just getting started and it’s his legacy as long as he wants it. And a great place to coach.

I think Joseph is already the greatest coach in PNG history. This season might be second best coaching job (after last year), because we did so well despite having so many obvious weaknesses. As disappointing as it was to lose in the 4th round, we overperformed, especially in beating Texas High (who should have obliterated us, on paper). Several of our previous coaches would have taken this team to a 3rd-4th seed and a first or second round loss, or a third round loss at best.

I could not be more proud of our team and our community. The spirit here is unmatched! I am so lucky to be a part of it and to wear the purple and white! The journey of this football season, with these coaches and our players, will stay with me forever.  -- PN-G Head Coach Jeff Joseph
