$3 is a lot better than any movie theater, the concession stand is open, and it's a fundraiser for our school's extra-curricular activities. Granted, the range of viewable movies is limited because it's still a school function, and the movies are played weeks, months, or even years after they were taken out of theaters, but how often do we go and see the movies we want to see in theaters, anyways? It's my hope that these events occur more often and that multiple school clubs, organizations, and sponsors are allowed to use the stadium. Maybe we could even sell prime seats in the pressbox. I'm sure they have audio hooked up in there, and there's an elevator for restroom and concession runs. I bet that the district's various organizations could turn this into a major fundraiser. And, like IndianFan and NDNS81 said, it can be rented out to other organizations as a source of extra income for the district.
You know, it's kind of funny. On this site and others, we were getting blasted for our "grandiose" new stadium and all of its "amenities," but, now, that investment is looking better and better. There were several people who said that we were spending all those millions for something that would yield virtually no return and be used only a few nights out of the year. Those voices are silent, now.
