Am I recalling correctly that the then-Port Neches Indians opened their first game in the old stadium against Galena Park in 1953? I seem to recall that being offered as the reason Matt Burnett opted to flip for homefield advantage for the first round of the playoffs to take on Galena Park for the last game in the old stadium in 2007.

Cherokee sounding as good as ever, Indian Spirit spinning faster than ever, opposing fan number small as usual.

Let’s get this game started.

PN-G is already rotating in back-up players…and it is still the first quarter. Yikes! This game is going to be U - G - L - Y.

Galena Park has a nice band.

Way to go GP band. Great performance. Best Houston area band we’ve seen so far. Santa Fe was ok as well.

I agree about the GP band and drill team. I don’t think they used all their allocated time. They played two songs and stopped.
