These close losses are tough, but the team fought hard to bridge the gap in the 4th. Thoughts from others at the game?

We beat ourselves. We beat the crap outta ourselves in the first half. We had horrible penalties at inopportune times.

To win this game the Indians have to execute. The Indians could not do that, and handicapped themselves. Same story, different year. Should have, could have, but the score is the final decision and nothing else matters.

Congrats to both teams for fighting hard.

The irony is the defense made the game changing plays that usually turn the tide. But the offense just couldn't capitalize. The worst of all is that just a couple of plays here and there, and it's a different outcome.

A missed extra point, missed FG, penalty that nullified the long TD pass, second missed PAT, mishandled handled offs, and the two interceptions. (But the defense picked off two passes to snuff an equal number of Nederland drives.)

Any of those opportunities could have changed momentum or been enough to win. It was right there for the taking. But that's how these games go. You either do it or not, and sadly for this group of seniors, the winning formula was just not there.

But tremendous effort by an under appreciated defense. And great job of roaring back in the 4th by the offense. It is a talented group.

Great job last night by the Nederland administration from keeping their student section from storming the field...oh wait, nevermind.

Keep it classy over there.

The questions will be there. Period. I am not one to call out people. I will say one of our player has a super amount of heart. One guy was sick and played this game he is a warrior. He has the heart of what I like to call PNG spirit.

I heard from multiple sources that a key player was ill with a stomach virus on Thursday and was on IV to get ready for the game.

Yes Morse was ill the day/night before the game. Richy gave them a fire it up talk at the team meal Thursady they are a super, super group of kids who deserve to achieve some success.

We need to facilitate that in every way.

In defense of Faircloth it is his 1st head coaching job with very inexpereanced asst. staff

We are more talented as players but look at Ned's staff.
