Mike Shannahan may be one of the better NFL coaches right now...As they fire all these fools from other teams what makes them think they will find a "diamond in the rough"......I would snag Shannahan in a heart beat....

Yes, he is an excellent coach and I was surprised, but winning is the priority just as we have seen at Port Neches. Eventhough overall Shanahan has a great record; three consecutive years struggling to make playoffs got the owners attention. I am sure he will turn one the NFL teams around; the Browns seem to have talent in the wings waiting to be cultivated.

You are not serious are you? Shanahan has been there 14 years. Here is the Broncos record and again it has only been the last three consecutive years that they have struggled with playoff appearances. Now you would be right if you said the last time he went to the SuperBowl Elway was quaterback.

WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME HE WON A PLAYOFF GAME? THE NFL IS A WIN NOW LEAGUE. THE RUNNINGBACKS YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT WERE TRASH. HEALTHY OR NOT HE DIDNT HAVE A GOOD BACK ON THAT SQUAD. THOUGHT HE COULD STILL PLUG ANYONE IN AND WIN. JERRY JONES NEEDS TO DO THE SAME THING WITH HIS TEAM AS WELL. Hey I got an idea let Jethro coach himself then they will win all of em next year; 3 years ago they were in the playoffs. Rebuilding years for Denver. Yet they were in contention 2 of those three years only missing by 1 game.
