At the booster club meeting Monday, Coach Faircloth said he will begin our regular Monday night quarterback meetings This Monday at 6:30pm. Highlights of the scrimmage with H-F will be shown. This is the beginning of a new year for the booster club so come early to sign up and enjoy Coach Faircloth's great presentation of what our kids are doing.

This is great news meaning we do not have to wait till the Tuesday after the Silsbee game (Monday's a Holiday that week) to start having these meetings. Thank you Coach Faircloth. We are dying for some football.

It was awesome! If any of the locals have not been, they really should check it out. BF is so football smart!

What all did he talk about? Did he go over game film etc?

Last time I went I learned a lot. He did a breakdown of the game using the game film and talked about what did and didn't happen according to plan. You also get to see some of the unsung heroes of the game making plays you might have missed in real time.

Funny you mention that because the first thing that struck me when checking out the PANews article this morning was the picture of Sparks being tackled against Silsbee, but it wasn't Sparks that got me amped up. It was Reece Wardlow #36 putting Silsbee defender #9 on his rear end!!! Great Pic!

Ok, I had a epiphany! Yes, it happens sometimes...lol! As I was sitting in the meeting Monday listening to coach go over the highlights from the game; I thought to myself...ya know, I think I have a decent knowledge of football, for a female anyway, but most of this is Greek to me!! Like, offensive and defensive formations, man vs zone coverage, spread option, read option, sprint out pass...etc! And he kept saying there were sharks...I never saw any...lol! Just got me to thinking! It would be awesome if we could have a Football 101 class for us ladies! Maybe late Summer, or whenever would be convenient for Coach! Maybe use it as a BC fundraiser and charge a small fee for the class. Idk if it would even be possible to do such a thing, but I bet it would get a great response! Hey, at least the guys might be able to enjoy the game more cause us ladies wouldn't be asking so many questions...lol! Plus, there are a lot of single Moms out there raising future Indians that need a little pigskin knowledge! Could be fun right?

Sounds like a good idea to this football mom!

Tried to explain the illegal man downfield penalty against WOS the other night to my wife. Started getting into the two WR both lined up on the line of scrimmage making one ineligible to go down field for a pass and all I got was a blank stare.

Maybe Football 101 for the ladies would be a great idea! ;D
