It will be a tough weekend for the players. They’re going to feel like they let everyone down, including themselves. The #1 rank, win streak nonsense is over. But they’re still a talented team with great coaching that needs to wake up and play like every quarter is the last. To steal a line from Trump, “it should have never happened.” The Indians played the last 13 minutes against Nederland like they could have played the entire game and won convincingly.
Come Monday they need to get back on that winning horse, and work harder than ever. Watch that game film and take ownership of any mistakes. And hold each other accountable. Tackle better, play the pass better, block better, run better, kick better. Run better plays. Coaches will soul search too.
Montgomery is in for a payback effort from the Indians.
Many here posted in the preseason and early on the development of a complimentary passing game would bring this team to the top. Sadly as many have posted through out the season that development has not happened or progressed.

our rookie OC will once again be out coached and along with “panic play calling” at all the wrong critical times in the game to lose it while putting the PNG defense on their heels. You should be play calling at least two plays ahead to set up your opponent.

not handed the keys to an offense with 4 returning all district offensive linemen, a returning #15 RB, a returning #11 WR, a returning #40 HB, a returning #44 TE, a stable of four RBs.
Learning on the job is not acceptable this is not middle school. We have very talented athletes that can take proper direction and continue to be successful. The season report card is out on the rookie OC. You are what you are. These Kids deserve so much more for their hard work and dedication. As someone previously posted: doing the same thing over and over expecting a different out come is insanity (definition of being out coached and out of your league). I am going to say it again that #11 is our WC QB who can both pass and run out of the position. what a waste of talent. Get on board rookie OC you have run out of time. It is sad that that this point of the season we are now relying on a very talented freshman #17 receiver to make critical 3rd down “deep” pass receptions to keep the offense on the field. A day late and a dollar short.
Also, Most high school coaches and teams would give anything to have a kicker with a leg that can attempt 45 yd FGs. It takes the whole team to execute perfectly for it to succeed. Perfect practice makes perfect. Don’t ignore in victory what you would correct in defeat.
I don’t have that many days or years left to enjoy PNG Indian Nation experience. I want PNG pride, honor, and tradition to always be transferred to the next generation.
