NDN Press 1st round playoff broadcast APPROVED

But you still have to pay to watch the PNG broadcast by NDN press because it’s on the NFHS network, so stupid. Glad they got approved but come on. Tell the UIL to go kick rocks and let the students do their broadcast on YouTube like normal.

I agree and think it’s stupid too, but it is good to know the NDN Press/Sports program will benefit by receiving a portion of the fee.

Texanlive. But nfhs subscription entitles you to Texanlive content but NOT vice-versa. Monthly subscription is around 15 bucks and is lowest term you can get. Texanlive used to offer per game price but not sure if they still do. But will not be able to get NDNpress broadcast with Texanlive. With NFHS you would get both broadcasts.
 
UIL controls everything including inexplicably placing PNG in Region 2. UIL makes state championship site selections. UIL controls all broadcasting rights. UIL created the contracts with NFHS and Victory+ for broadcast rights. UIL controls the Texas HS sports world. Texan Live is an affiliate of NFHS. So I guess NDN Press is now an affiliate. They do a better job than Texan Live broadcasters, so they deserve to do it and I’m glad they have the opportunity.

Indeed. I'm hoping to get to the game this Friday, but I still enjoy watching NDN Press, they really do a very good job.

Texaslive list all the schools signed up for broadcasts and PNG is not on the list.

We are probably not on list because we were not signed up with them for regular season due to broadcasting our games on NDNpress. I read somewhere that the Nacogdoches game would be on Texanlive but can’t remember where (possibly setxsports.com). Not sure if that was accurate, but I do seem to recall that the website sometimes does not show all the games they will broadcast until a few days prior to the games. In any case, it will be broadcast by NDNpress on NFHS network for sure.

They will have to reapply each week, but hopefully NDNpress can keep broadcasting throughout the playoffs. Great experience for them and for us! For those able to attend the games, an NFHS subscription would also allow watching a replay of the games broadcast by our own crew. Although I still resent the UIL forcing us to pay, given that there is no other option (with the exception that Victory+ may broadcast a game or two) I am glad that fans not able to attend the games will (hopefully) still have the chance to watch them, and I am glad that NDNpress will (hopefully) still have the chance to broadcast them.

After 2 years and 29 games of being able to do the games on YouTube with 0 restrictions the UIL saw the benefit they could make from student led broadcasts like ours. Thankfully we got an opportunity to continue the NDN Presscast on NFHS Network for the REST of playoffs! We would love all of y'all's support and can't wait to bring y'all the BEST coverage of Indian football!
