This is the final bracket from this years Bulldog Classic. The Village won it all.

The Finishing order was as follows...

1st - The Village
2nd - Westbrook
3rd - Baytown Sterling
4th - Silsbee
5th - HCYA
6th - Central
7th - Nederland
8th - Memorial
9th - West Orange Stark
10th - PNG

While we didn't have a great showing from a win loss standpoint from what I can gather about the games, our play is improving! We just have to keep working hard and it will come together!

Isn't Sterling 5A?

Yes. To be honest though, I'm really kind of pleased with our seeding in this years Ned tourney. It's not near what it could've been.

Really wish I could have seen this game. I won't see any this weekend either as I am heading to College Station tomorrow for the weekend. I read a little bit about this game over on the other site and it would seem we are making some headway toward handling some pressure. Let's go Indians! Make some noise in Nederland!!!

Ball handling much better in this game. Still trying to force some passes inside. All in all not a bad game BTS held the ball at half court for about 2:30 late and we did not contest. I understand the thinking but, lets play ball and make them beat us on shots or freethrows. Go Indians against Central

That's almost always a darned if ya do and darned if ya don't situation because the team holding the ball typically has the lead. They want you to come out and try defend them in a much larger area of the floor. Therefore spreading your defense out and making the odds of an easy lay-up much higher. It also tends to tire your guards out when the opponent plays four corners. I don't know what the correct answer is but I would guess it comes down to the athletes on the floor and the coaches knowledge of what they are capable of.

I'm no basketball expert, but it looks like the team has been pretty competitive judging by the scores. They just can't seem to catch a break.

Well, I haven't been at the games but I believe we will be fine when district does roll around. We do need to learn to close out. This is something we struggled with last year too. we led WOS most of the way today but the end of the game proved to be our weak spot. I am itching to see us play again to see the improvement. LU Cards will agree, these tough games will only serve us well later in the year.

Keep on banging Indians, the W's will come!
