We call
I worked in Post Oak Central for 20+ years. Too much crime around the Galleria area now and the parking garages aren’t even safe. Same for Willowbrook, Greenspoint and every other mall that isn’t far away from the city like the two mentioned.
we call Greenspoint
Gunpoint

Our mall Bay Area is nice but it isn’t on the way to Katy so I didn’t mention it lol

The trend in Houston is an outdoor area almost like the old town squares but they have all the trendy spots
One exception downtown is where House of Blues is that place is nice

Just got my tickets. We are gonna leave early and go eat somewhere nice and hit some Bass Pro and maybe the Galleria or Katy Mall for a bit before the game.
For the love of all things holy, avoid the Galleria. My office is 2 exits down from the Galleria, and I try to work from home as often as possible! Like others said, its gridlock traffic now at 10:45 AM and will just get worse as the day goes on. Stay on I-10, resist the urge to exit 610, continue on into Katy and hit up Katy Mills and Bass Pro Shop. If it were me, I'd "accidently" spend way too much time and money in Bass Pro so I wouldn't have to venture into the mall! And as far as food options go, Katy has them all. Safe travels!!

Bay Area is the nicest one in Houston IMO, with all of the new additions. I take my kids to that Dave and Buster's quite regularly.

And get across Houston to Katy asap. I-10 west still doesn’t have enough lanes to handle the outbound traffic. Especially on a Friday. I seldom travel inside beltway 8 west now. No reason to unless you have a special event to attend, or have to drive into an office for work. We have everything needed and more in the suburbs and towns far outside of Houston.

Any suggestions on alternative routes to Katy? I’m leaving straight from work at 2. I left around the same time last year, maybe a tad later for Semi Final game and got stuck in GRIDLOCK on Katy Fwy…ugh!

When PN-G played Liberty Hill - I got there at 4:00 and staked my claim - there were a few there, but by 5:00 it was packed - but I drove in from Austin

If you have multiple passengers you can go into the HOV (I believe)
10w is MUCH better than when I first moved to Houston my main advice is be PATIENT nothing will get you there much faster you’ll only arrive stressed lol
