Official spring football starts tomorrow !

Schedule says first practice is tomorrow at 3:30. I'm gonna be there and then Saturday at 10 am. Is the booster club gonna be the Saturday ? I know I will be there to watch the teams strap it on and make some popping sounds !

Things are looking very good. Lots of players getting rotated in for some play time and looks apparently. Our D looks great. Boys are getting good pressure up front and the backers and secondary are looking like a spider web on coverage. Some serious speed on the D ! Our O is looking good as well. Our O line may need alittle more work. Backs and receivers are great. Miller at QB adds another dimension to the whole offensive scheme. He can tuck and run. He has a good arm and good speed and moves. I like what I see out there. I expect alot of the players to grow over the summer in size. So come August we should have some bigger kids and hopefully they stay in shape over the summer.

Con't. There are several players that have been moved up that will be Sophomores next year. 2 Of them are receivers. Very tall and fast with good hands. A few O linemen and a few on the D side of the ball. I noticed in the O backfield that they have Womack taking alot of time with Bertrand as the H back blocking. They are running both in rotation in the wildcat and with Miller at the helm. We are going to have a very quick and shifty backfield to contend with. 3 receivers around 6'2" and taller ! Hanks at tightend blocking. Like I said in the previous post I think we have 1-2 spots on the O line that are questionable. Next years O will have a totally different dimension. All in all its looking good ! (this is just my opinion)

I made my first practice yesterday......Bertrand & Nelson & a few others are still in baseball....Reasons is looking good on the right side...I do not know who the running backs are but they are looking pretty good....the receivers are dropping a bunch of passes....the OL has one returning starter..Nicotre...he is looking really good on the left side & his technique is good....i do not know the names of the other players who are on the line...Miller will do fine @ QB...Defense has #90 Davis....looking good....The D Backs are working hard...#13 Louvier is also looking good....Hope to make a few more practices.........looking for a deeper run in the playoffs.....

I thought Womack looked good and there was 1 reciever that appeared to be fairly quick. Does anyone know if the Miller kid is Toby Miller

I made yesterdays practice.....looks like some hard hitting going on @ the 50 Yard line @ the beginning of practice...Hope this continues......offense is improving......defense still looking good......hard hitting.....a bunch of banged up players watching..hope this does not continue.....cannot make todays practice.....baseball won ...another game friday...still dropping passes.....

The Purple vs. White game will be Friday, May 27th. JV will play at 5:30PM and Varsity will play at 7:00PM.

The booster club will be selling t-shirts again this year. Not sure of prices or design yet but they are working on it.

Can't wait for the game ! To bad the UIL won't allow the teams doing Spring ball to scrimmage each other. I know the boys are probably getting tired of hitting the same people everyday. Scrimmaging another team would be a great test of our talent level.
