While Ball looked like a decent team. I think that PNGs defense can slow down the running attack of TC. AT the same time I believe the monster o line we have will open up running holes. Ball looks like a good team but their competition is a stated below. And the other teams TC has played.

I have a friend that lives on Tiki Island and his significant other teaches at Texas City. She tells me that the Stingrays have this game circled. They are amped up to be playing PN-G. They felt like the game last year slipped away from them. Texas City has good size on their OL and they have a stud RB. I think it will be a challenge for PN-G to get a road W. All that said, I will cast my lot with Coach Joseph and Coach McDaniel. They have the mojo when it comes to playing defense in big games, and they find ways to make stops. They have the PN-G defense in the right spots and they get those kids fired-up to make stops. If the offense can run the ball with #33 behind the PN-G bulldozers, the passing game can find some WRs to step up and grab the football (too many drops last week on well thrown balls), no turnovers, and few penalties, the Indians can march over to Texas City, collect the W, and go home. Solid defense + running the ball behind PN-G's massive OL = win on the road. Watching last week's game, I thought #9 played very well for his first game taking snaps. He throws a nice ball. He had some zip on a few balls. We just need our WRs to get some confidence and make those catches in traffic. We miss #10, #18, and #19. Those guys made catches in traffic and didn't care if the DB had position. They were ball hogs. We need our WRs to get aggressive like last year's trio. If they do, watch out. The offense will get rolling. Looking forward to the drive down to TXC for a PN-G W.

I looked at TC vs Galena Park yesterday on Youtube. Only one kid on their O-line looked big. The rest didn't size up anywhere near what we have. They were only up 14-0 at Half on GP. I honestly think we will be fine. They run the RPO and the QB takes deep shots every once in a while.

I agree with earlier comments that the new quarterback has a good arm. He just needs a little experience under his belt. If our wide receiver corps can clean up the dropped passes, I think our offense will really get rolling, and our odds of returning to the big dance will start going up.

Players to watch: RB Caleb Bell (5-10, 225, 4.5), LB Szyron Scott (6-1, 215, 4.5), LB Camryn Grief (6-2, 190, 4.5), QB Joey Duran (5-8, 175, 4.6), WR/CB Clyde Burton (5-10, 180, 4.4). Top junior: WR/DB Xavier Skowron (6-2, 185, 4.5). Top sophomore: WR Jayden Johnson (5-10, 165, 4.6).

2023 notes: The Stingarees were able to get into the playoffs in Evans’ first season at the helm and he’s hopeful his team can contend for a district title behind the leadership of several three-year starters. RB Bell (1,381 yards, 17 TDs rushing) is the catalyst for the offense, as he’s a complete back with great size and speed. QB Duran (1,344 yards, 9 TDs passing) is the “team leader,” according to Evans. The strength of the Texas City defensive unit will be the LB spot with the return of speedy Scott (12 sacks) and Grief (87 tackles, 15 TFL, 4 INTs). WR/DB Burton (36-463, 5 TDs receiving; 5 INTs) gets it done on both sides of the ball.

TC be careful what you ask for, you might just get it. Coach will have the Indians well prepared and our OL will dominate.

You guys are underestimating the TXC RB, Caleb Bell, and QB Duran. TXC always plays PN-G tough. I hope you're right. If PN-G plays well, the Indians should get the W.

Never underestimate any team. Any team can beat you in the right conditions.
Bell is a big threat and the QB can run and throw the ball.
