Petitions being signed for release of the Coaches list

The Beaumont Ent sent out copies of petitions to the local media outlets. The petitions are being signed and will be sent to the AG's office tomorrow to show local intrest in publising the list of HC/AD apps here at PNG.

the problem here is that the PNGISD BOARD think they can do what they want with public funds etc, it not so much as wanting the list to me, it is that they think they are above the rules and laws! Speak for yourself...not the community. The board is doing all they can to get us a quality AD/HC. Can you explain to us what public funds you feel they have spent that? The true crime is letting anyone from the public get on a site such as this to voice their uninformed opinion.

I mean...REALLY...a petition just for a list...let them hire someone, I am sure that will you plenty to complain about...there are bigger problems in the world then a list of people who applied for a head football coaching job and you not being able to see that list. This whole AD/HC mess reminds me of an early 70's song :music: from the Billy Jack movie, "One Tin Soldier". I am sure the younger generation has never heard of this song, but "One Tin Soldier" tells the abstract story of a hidden treasure and two feuding peoples, the Mountain People (PNGISD Board and the Applicants) and the Valley People (The News Media and various other people). The Valley People are aware of a treasure on the mountain, buried under a stone; they send a message to the Mountain People demanding those riches (the Applicants List). When told they can share the treasure, the Valley People instead take it by force. After killing all the Mountain People, the victors move the stone and find nothing more than a simple message: "Peace on Earth". Once the list is forceably released (whether PNGISD board members are stretching/breaking the law or not), what good will it serve. It's not like once the general public finds out who applied, we (the general public) could do much about who is hired or how they are hired. Once all is said and done we might find out all this commotion and hype was over nothing.

I would just like to have a AD/HC the can bring PNG back to it's glory! :helmet:

I am more uneasy about our country and our world than I am about who is on the flipping PNGISD AD/HC list. If our country/world keeps going down the toilet than none of us will have to worry about anybodies AD/HC. We'll be having to worry about just trying to survive. O well, I need to get off that subject. There's not a whole lot I can do about that subject, just like there is not a whole lot I can do about the AD/HC subject.

Has anyone complaining stopped to think not releasing the names is in the best interest of our program to ensure we get the best available candidate? Does that even matter to some, or is this really a "moral" issue to ya'll?

All of this drama over a dang list is ridiculous. Once it is released it will be just like yesterday's newspaper. No one will care. People will look at it, not know probably 80% of the names on it, and have to wait until finalist are named to make sense of it. It will be forgotten as soon as it is read.

I have to admit, all the conspiracy theories are entertaining and the board activity has increased. This is a heck of a way to pass the off-season.
