Thanks for the info. on how the stadium choice went down. I'm sure it will be easier in the 2nd round to secure a larger stadium to accomodate our great crowds.

I went to the admin today to buy a few more student tickets and asked about playoff tickets. They told me they would be on sale Tuesday morning. She said the info will be up this weekend more than likely on the ISD web site and on the cable channel. Let the lines begin !

We hope to get out tickets tomorrow (Tuesday) morning. AS I understand the season ticket holders will be able to get the same number of tickets as you hold. I hope all this information is correct

Any word on how many tickets have been sold yet??

This was on the PNGISD web site ... "Information regarding ticket availability & sales will be updated at this site and on Time Warner Cable Channel 7 after Nov. 9 sales are complete."
'This site' being the PNGISD web site.

I just called the ticket office and the recorded message says that remaining general admission tickets go on sale Wednesday at 8am

My understanding as to why WOS ended up at Lamar from someone at WOS, is that Hooks was approached by Coach Woodard at LU. He is interested in a couple of the WOS kids as recruits and wanted them to play in the stadium. Good legal recruiting tactic if you ask me!

Now if he was interested in actually making money, he should have called Faircloth! ;D

Another reason why picking a small stadium is crap. There will be alot of people not able to go to the game due selling to season ticket holders, students and then others. Why not have the game played at a bigger venue? Just curious. If stadium holds 10,500 that meand only 5,250 on each side. We had I think about 4,200 season ticket holders this year. If all are sold that leaves about 1,000 tickets, but you add band and indianettes and now about 700 left. Student tickets you figure about 300, and now left with 400. Good luck trying to be one of 400 to get tickets. I know I sound like a baby on this, but just don't understand.

Ok, let me see if I can repeat a little of what coach said at BC meeting last night regarding how we ended up with BISD stadium, please don't quote me on any of this because I have slept since then...lol! First he said since we had to wait until Fri night before we knew who we would play and it put us behind in securing a bigger stadium in advance. Last year we had a BIG advantage on stadium choice since we knew how we fell in the mix much earlier. WOS secured Lamar stadium sometime last week, so that was out, why they needed that stadium I'll never know but what's done is done. I think he said if we got Stallworth it would've been a Thursday game so not ideal for us or the kids. He said BH coach would NOT agree to play on Saturday, not sure why, maybe he's a deer hunter...lol! Flipping for home/home is a BAD idea and coach wasn't going to take that chance, look what happened to Nederland, Crosby stadium only holds 5000 TOTAL with most of that on the home side! So, stadium choices were looking pretty slim for us. So, sometime during Fri nights game, coach was approached by the almighty Butch Thomas about Da Butch and Faircloth said he was under the impression Dayton had it for Fri night, but Thomas said they were on the list but it wasn't a done deal and he offered it to us on the spot, ya think he saw $$$ signs, nah, not ole Carol...lmao! Now, BH coach didn't want to agree to that either cause he said it was too close to home for us....ummm....didn't we play in their backyard at Stallworth last year??? So, finally BH coach said they'd agree to BISD if Faircloth agreed to use Houston officials, so that's how it went down! I'm thinking coach is hoping we fill up our side and overflow onto theirs and surround them with wild PNG Indian fans....hehehe!

You did a great job of recapping.

im pretty sure lamar is recruiting a few of our players to.it would have been nice to set up the tailgate friday and leave it for saturday.faircloth said last night that he has lamar for 2nd round depending on the other team.we would probably flip for lamar vs a houston location.its great lamar has facility that teams want to play in.def cant hurt recruiting.

Hope we don't have to play at that stadium where we played Brenham. Was that Galena Park ISD? That was like playing at the YMCA in terms of seating.

91 was right on the money with her description on what BF said. Another thing that he said was that BH was NOT going to fill their side. That if someone couldn't get a ticket here, all they would need to do is go to the game and enter on the home side (BH) and sit with them. Now that would be really cool...our side packed, and their side packed.....with 3,000 Indians!!!

yeah, I think you're right about Aldine. Tiny place! Yes, Round Rock Stony Point is in the playoffs, they're currently undefeated and #3 in class 5A. However, he had a season ending injury a couple of weeks ago and has already had surgery. So he just stands on the sidelines with crutches now. :crip: They are playing Austin Westlake (Coach Faircloth's old stomping ground). RRSP run/ran a two QB system alternating every play and it's worked wonders. So it takes some of the options away now. We'll see.

I've been begging the wife to let me go down to the PN-G game (I'm due). The jury is still out.....................

I thought it was Stony Point, but didn't want to look silly if it wasn't. I hate to hear about your boy. My thoughts and prayers go out to you. I know this is hard on him and you and your wife as well. Is he a senior? Anyway, I hope you get to make several games during the playoffs. I envy you living in the hill country/Austin area. But I know from August to (hopefully) December, you envy those of us who live down here and get to go to all the games. I had heard that the next game may be a home and home flip, with our stadium being Lamar(Provost Humphrey) and Willis/Magnolia West stadium being Sam Houston.(Bowers)

Thanks, much appreciated! He is a senior this year and took it kinda hard at first, but adjusting as well as expected. Central Texas.... honestly.... tired of it. And as to the envy part....... you HAVE NO IDEA. If OldEagle spent any time around my Dad today in line for tickets..... I'm sure he heard all about it ;D

Sorry all, back on topic....... It's true, playoff tickets went on sale today!

I hope its Lamar! Although if we do go to Huntsville, the Houston, Dallas, Central Texas Indians and college students would have an easier drive in. Either way let's pack it with purple and show everybody just how much we love our Indians!

Does anyone know if the playoff ticket sales will continue to be on Tuesday morning for reserved and then open to general admission on Wednesday?

Ticket sales should continue that way, however there are no reserved seats at playoff games. Season ticket holders are just the first ones able to buy tickets, but all seats are general admit.
